Evra accuses Suarez of racist remarks | Suarez guilty of racial abuse

how many black players are there in the Liverpool side?

I think I saw an article or something shortly after the accusations that stated that Daglish never had many players in his teams, compared to other clubs. I didn't really think much of it, but hearing his comments in the media since then, seeing his tweet last night and seeing Liverpool's statement last night (which Daglish probably played some part in) you really have to wonder if there's something to it.

Some United fans on twitter re tweeting this "LFC players to wear Suarez shirts in their warm-up today apparently". If true just when you think it couldn't get anymore ridiculous.

Just saw that. Really hope it isn't true. FA will have to take action if they do so. Wonder if the ref could actually just cancel the match and pronounce Liverpool as losers, if they do it? Doubt it'd happen, but I wonder if he'd actually be allowed to do so.

Why? I'm finding them hilarious... this is a war they can only lose.

As much as I dislike Liverpool, that'd just be beyond pathetic. I don't like seeing shit like that, even if it's going to get a rival into more trouble.

Well, that's their fault. They shouldn't participate in such a stupid action.

 Err no?

Wait, what?! Why on earth would the match be cancelled? If they want to wear shirts with Saurez's name on it in the warm-up, so be it, let them look like idiots. That's no reason to call off the match, and then award the other team the win. That's insane. Of course he wouldn't be allowed to do it!

I'm just waiting for the Mosaic next week.

Mosaic

From that thread:

One thing one can do is change their avatar like I did.
avatar_3_1324428686.png

 Yeah, that'll make all the difference in the world mate.

Next time we play them we should be chanting:

Luis Suarez is a scouser, is a scouser, is a scouser,
Luis Suarez is a scouser, he hates blacks.

Along the theme of the Gary Neville hating scousers.

I just looked at the mosaic thread.

Bellend 1:
As much as I agree with the sentiment of this thread, and many of the other threads posted tonight:

This has feck all to do with Alex Ferguson. It really doesn't.

Bellend 2:
How do you work that out?

Words fail me!

 Yeah, that'll make all the difference in the world mate.

Maybe we should have done this rather than having Obama and Cameron invade Libya. I am sure after Gadhaffi saw the Libyan flags as avatars on RAWK he would just handed over power.

Aren't you two forgetting something? Fergie runs the FA.

The really cunning bit is that he regularly gets them to hand out unusually large bans to our players, and even himself, in order to hide his influence.

Well, it was cunning until those pesky scousers saw through the ruse!

Just spotted this gem:

Mosaic, scuse my french... would look fkn cool as feck!! and would prove we are no doubt the best fans in the world, if it could get organised it would be nothing short of magical.

What player wouldnt want to be involved in our club.

There's nothing like a niche forum mass avatar changing to sway an appeals tribunal.

The best post in that thread remains the first one...Presumably unintentionally.

Be brilliant if the club could get one sorted for our next TV game at home.

Simple for the KOP, Suarez is White rest in Blue.

Of course covering the Kop in blue is also a thoroughly well thought out plan.

This whole course of events has been masterminded by SAF, who intended to make the return leg easier by removing one player. The ban, media frenzy, Evra's part, thousands of working hours taken by legal professionals and the FA in dealing with it, and every bit of commentary on the issue by pundits is all part of SAFs plan, clearly. He even somehow engineered the John Terry affair to draw more attention to racism around the same time.

Yeah I didn't get that at all... why do they want to make a politically dubious refeerence to his skin colour, and why do they want a blue background?

White & blue would be the colours of the Uruguayan flag. Of course if anyone fails to get the memo, it'll be red, white and blue, which would be the French flag.

Every way you look at it it's disastrously spastic.

This has to be the worst reaction to anything, ever.

That's interesting. I grew up following the Golden State Warriors NBA team. One of the players attacked the coach. He was, obviously, suspended for a lengthy period. A couple of the players came out the next game with his number written on their shoes.

I never watched the team again.

Surely there are a few disgusted Liverpool fans out there. You have to wonder what their black fans are thinking now.

I posted this in another thread but I think this sums up these SOBs.

From Twitter:
As for LFC & racism, it wasn't that long ago when #lfc fans were returning season tickets in protest to John Barnes signing...

Racist gestures and chants was prevalent back in the 80s along with the hooligan culture.

Football has come a long way since then in England.

They were different times and add nothing to the debate. Everton fans threw bananas at him at a Derby. We have nearly all moved on.

Not saying what you say insn't true. I have heard the same. Barnes himself said he recieved letters at the time asking him not to join.

Absolutely and it is the very thing that makes this whole debacle so truly depressing. Having one of the EPL's oldest clubs so overtly failing in its duty to the game is a throwback to a time best consigned to history.

i don't agree with the idea of increasing a ban because you dare to appeal, it's a ridiculous notion. However it's Liverpool so this time I'll let it slide and the revelation that the ban could be increased if he appeals is making me piss my sides

Suarez's eight-match ban could be increased if he appeals, FA confirm.

To be fair, I think the whole "you can appeal but if you do you get more of a ban" thing is fairly stupid. Why give them the right to appeal if you're just going to punish them if they use it? Sure, they could wait for the appeal and play in games, but that's the risk of giving them a fortnight to appeal.

"Look guys! I'm not racist, see!"

It does make sense. It costs time and money as a second review from a second panel needs to take place. With no risk of another fine, every single ban would be appealed or at best, the appeal system would be used frivolously as a tactic to buy a player time in order to select what games the player misses.
