If they react like they did to a black player who didn't have anything to do with their darling Suarez being banned, imagine what they are going to do next time Evra plays at Anfield
Give him a couple of reading glasses (not the official Liverpool version), print out the verdict from the independent panel (which both Liverpool and United approved) and make him read it until he realises what a fecking moron he is.
Also make sure to delete his user on RAWK.

The thing is, RAWK make some valid points occasionally. I can see why they're mad. This situation I think they're going over the top, and I couldn't justify agreeing with it (hence why I got banned from there), but I do think there is a case they can make where they can support Suarez and still be against racism. I am 100% behind the ban, and I am 100% sure that Liverpool as a club in general hate racism.
But this abuse of Collymore and the Oldham lad has happened now for a reason. Not because Liverpool condone racism, but because they've made the whole thing so tribal that it was bound to happen. There have been the racism at Anfield, the reports of Liverpool clubs singing racist chants and the tweets to famous celebrities which are horrendous.
The thing is even if Liverpool have a point in their own eyes for Suarez being innocent, they simply
a) Shoudn't have wore the shirts. This to me was the worst thing they could done. It was ALWAYS going to inflame the situation/
b) Shouldn't have agressively persued Evra. He hasn't done anything wrong! Even if you support Liverpools rational(ish) point of view, he has misheard a word and has got offended. It's not HIS fault! He has behaved admirably through the whole situation.
c) Not stressed the importance of the anti-racist message. They have not been racist themselves, but they have allowed their stupid idiotic fans to become legitmatized. Idiots won't be eradicated overnight, but they could certainly validate themselves if they warped Liverpool's view.

I think Liverpool fans have a point when they argue that Evra's testimony had inconsistencies and that it is pretty inconceivable that someone who speaks such good spanish doesnt know that negro means black. However, I disagree with every other argument they have put forward.

Evra complained to the referee that the striker had racially abused him and the governing body said that the Uruguayan had used words which "included a reference to Mr Evra's colour", judged to be a serious breach of the organisation's rules.
Pereira has given his backing to his Uruguay team-mate and stated that United's position on this matter is driven by sporting affairs.
"Evra had no code: what happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch," he told Radio Sport 890.
"Tomorrow, something like this can happen to a team-mate of his.
"United tried to take advantage of this situation and prevent one of Liverpool's best players from playing. That is sad.
"It seems like it is a sin to say something on the pitch. If this happened in South America, they would have to suspend all players.
"Evra has a complex. He is not proud to be black. If I am called 'negro', I start laughing. My team-mates call me 'negro' and in South America it can also be used in an affectionate way.
"It is obvious that you can use this word with good or bad intentions, but I always laugh. Evra must have some kind of problem about being black, or some inferiority complex. I do not."
The 26-year-old added that if the international friendly between France and Uruguay, which is scheduled for the end of 2012, were to take place now, Evra "would have to wear armour".

I've yet to hear any neutrals come out in support of Liverpool in the aftermath of the FA's findings.
As I've said earlier in the thread, I can't imagine the American owners having had much say when the statements were issued. They seem intelligent enough, and I think would've nipped this whole thing in the bud before it got out of hand if they'd been more involved. I'd say Kenny has the run of the place and can pretty much do and say as he pleases- something the Americans would do well to get under control as he's turned a club which were fairly well respected into an absolute laughing stock within the space of two weeks.

The real gripe LFC fans have with the FA’s process is:
1. The FA are the prosecutors
2. The FA are the judges (“independent” panel meaningless as it is only selected and re-selected by the FA)
3. Evra was allowed x attempts at viewing the video to ‘get his story straight’. Suarez, none until the day.
4. FA were the executioners
This kind of justice is frowned upon when discussing Saudi or Iranian courts. Yet we have it present in the English FA. Simply saying it’s the “same for everybody” doesn’t make it right either here or Saudi/Iran.
The FA produced no killer evidence (videos, referees, man utd players)
It ended up being Evra’s word against Suarez’s. The prosecution, judges and executioners decided its own plaintiff (Evra) was reliable and the ‘other team’ was wrong.
As an independent fan you must see some room for questions there Africanspur? And some answers would be nice too.
