FC Bayern 2015/16

Am I the only one who thinks a they win get too much respect on the field and that's a big reason for the success? Fair enough, one game is nothing to go by but seeing how as soon as Juve decided to look forward a bit that Bayern just crumbled?

Just like we used to play, the fear factor was there, at some point teams were defeated even before they left the tunnel.

As for Juve, well, they were at their own ground and Bayern do have a hospital in their defence so Juve shitting it was a bit stupid, yes.

You mean the manager who after 32 years was still searching for recognition ahead of their treble season? Identity, this is what was the basis of the Pep hire

No, I'm talking about manager whose Bayern was much more enjoyable to watch than Pep's one with all of his 'identity'.

Just a reminder that you guys are arguing with someone who admitted to feeling complete ideological bias towards Pep, bordering on religious feelings.

A reminder that you should qualify your own bias since I never claimed complete ideological bias wrt Pep. If I had a religion, sure it would be Pepism but that doesn't make Guardiola infallible, just makes him someone to admire - plus, no one is more blaugrana than him so what's not to like

It's about Bayern always starting to bottling if they get under massive pressure after conceding a weird goal, especially away from home if the opposition gets this massive momentum boost. The first goal came out of nowhere, without this the game would probably have ended 3-0 or 4-0.

Pep said it by himself, they need to stay calm after conceding. It happened many times before, for example against City and Arsenal. It has nothing to do with respect though, it's just momentum and mentality.

Pep Guardiola has not denied the news reported in BILD on Thursday which claimed Arturo Vidal, Franck Ribery and David Alaba spent the earlier hours of Wednesday morning - following Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw with Juventus - away from the team hotel in Turin.

“They are really professional players, which is the most important thing for me,” the Catalan coach said when asked about the possible indiscipline of the three players.

“They have all trained well [this week].”

The club’s media officer Markus Horwick added: “Each player is responsible for what they do at night time.”

It’s a different way of dealing with another story which appeared in BILD a few weeks ago when the German paper claimed Vidal had shown a lack of discipline in Qatar.

On that occasion, the club denied the reports and BILD subsequently published an apology.

Job opening at "Sport BILD": Looking for a journalist to accompany FC Bayern. Are you a former rent-a-cop, prison warden or school teacher (7th-10th grade)? Job includes travelling with the team, watching the match for free (not a must) and sitting in hotel lobbies with a watch and a notepad. Sports knowledge, journalism experience or writing skills not required, but should be able to recognize designer clothing brands. Previous experience as PI in divorce cases or sentence for stalking a plus.

The tz is telling today that it was not just Alaba, Ribery and Vidal - but Rafinha, Thiago, Coman and Costa, too - all the South Americans and French who were partying together with Paul Pogba and Vidal's former haircutter in a bar in Turin.

Who cares about the rondo when Boateng is back on the pitch! Just for a light jog, but that's really good news, for the Euro this summer as well. :)

According to Bild, the contract extension with Alaba is all but done . Apparantly we agreed on the terms in a meeting with his agent and his father last week, double his wages to more than 10m/year and he'll sign a new contract until 2021. He was really the only piece in the squad I was worried about. So excited, awesome news.

Read that too, best news of the year so far if true. I was starting to get worried, but I'll believe it once it's done.

Next two months could be very uncomfortable for Pep if it stays like this. Can't remember seeing them this flat.

I not going to be overly critical at Pep for "only" winning the league title every season comfortably. To me that is just as silly as people who say Ferguson was a "failure" in Europe.

but in all honesty, given the financial outlay, given the situation with German rivals and the team he inherited I think it's fair to say Pep hasn't made the progress Bayern expected

Bayern for a long time had a tendency to slip up in the league and let some team come out of nowhere and take the title from them. With the consistency they had in the league under Pep that was not possible.

Surprised to see Bayern under Pep being led 4-0 on aggregate. I thought they were supposed to be free flowing and full of goals.

He'll have a tough time in the Premier League..
