Could this be the week that Fergie names an unchanged side? I think it's very likely.
I don't.

We've lost twice in a row, but we've won there before...

Why? Because he didn't play as great?![]()
He had 5 missed passes out of 56 including 1 clearance into touch, in comparison to Nani's 16 out of 42, which included an unnessary step over in his own penalty area. Nani made a lot more tackles though albeit most of them unsucessful.
The stats only tell half of the story. O'Shea was very iffy on Monday. He's generally very solid though, i'm not worried about him.
What confused you when I said "but, perhaps the NC was a sign of him not being 100% back."
Anyhoo. Someone linked this http://www.premierleague.com/staticFiles/4f/53/0,,12306~152399,00.pdf in the United kits thread and saw something interesting listed - the pitch sizes.
Our pitch is 105 meters length and 68 meters wide. Fulham is 100 meters length and 65 meters wide. Didn't know pitches could be different lengths. Only Stoke's is smaller at 100 x 64.
Only found it interesting because in another discussion I was having, I asked that isn't Craven Cottage fairly narrow meaning in that we can't use our width as effectively and thus maybe why we'd be more inclined to say play with 3 CM as it is fairly crowded with the pitch being narrower.
There's a permissible range. Stoke minimized their pitch width so they could use those poxy throws to greater effect. cnuts. That's interesting. Is there a minimum and maximum since many fields have different dimensions? Surprised FIFA doesn't enforce a "same for all" rule.
we know that's very unlikely to happen, we usually see 2 or 3 changes between games.
E.g community sheild ... Evra in, rafael out, fletcher in, carrick out, valencia in, park out, berbatov in, owen out.
I could see something like:
Van der sar; rafael, vidic, j. Evans, evra; valencia, carrick, fletcher, giggs, park, rooney
subs: Kuszczak, brown/smalling, o'shea, nani, scholes, hernandez, berbatov.
That's interesting. Is there a minimum and maximum since many fields have different dimensions? Surprised FIFA doesn't enforce a "same for all" rule.
Is Andy Johnson still at Fulham?
Injured or not good enough for the squad?
Aye. Pity the game's at Old Trafford, Manchester wink wink.
Aye. Except it's actually at Craven Cottage.
Yes, plus i have no problem with the different sized pitches it adds an extra dimension to the game I think Celtic park is easily the biggest in Scotland and Nou camp biggest in Spain and Arsenal one of the biggest in England and these three treams probably play the most expansive football in their respective leagues. Fifa would struggle to make pitches all the same size due to stadia around certain pitches.
basketball courts and hockey rinks are similarly sized but gridiron fields are much bigger winkIs there any other sport that allows different dimensions? I know baseball can have different outfield distances but the base paths are always the same everywhere. Basketball courts, gridiron football fields and hockey rinks are always the same dimensions, at least I think they are.
Just saw this![]()
It's on Sky Sports 1 mate, and I don't like to be pernickety but the logos are technically the wrong way round!
-------------- VDS ---------------
Rafael ---- Vidic -- Evans ---- Evra
Valencia - Scholes - Fletcher - Nani
------- Rooney -- Berbatov -------
SUBS : PIG, O'Shea, Brown/Smalling, Park, Carrick, Gibson, Hernandez.
Not sure whether you know...
This was borne of the OP's originally having the badges and matchday info as being a home game. This should have been fairly obvious. Especially with the white text.
Here's the remaining other post referring to his minor gaffe:
Swap Valencia for Nani and that's spot on.
Also, hasn't Dembele, just signed for Fulham? He would need some time to adapt.
But its only another 2 matches in the league before a 2 week break for internationals. In this sort of form we'd be mad to rest him imo when the seasons only started
basketball courts and hockey rinks are similarly sized but gridiron fields are much bigger wink
Can some kind American poster tell me if this is on in the USA and what channel it may be on? Can't miss a game.
Also if any of them happen to be from Phoenix, AZ and can tell me where to watch it that would be amazing..
