Television Gotham - TV series

I do find it funny the different ages, unless im mistaken totally. Like Bruce and Selina are similar age. But then Riddler and Penguin are much older than them. At least Joker looks early 20's.

Yep, but for some reason a few shows are having another longer one.

As long as it doesnt affect the show / ratings and end up with a new timeslot in the US causing an issue with ratings :nervous:

Isn't that about right though? Or are the Batman Universe villains generally the same age as Batman himself?

I dont know, ive never been good at determining ages. Like Freeze seemed decades older than Batman, but then, it is its own adaptation so not really a problem.
Like Ivys sudden age increase lol.

But when the show returns from the break, I do hope they continue with the three/four episode arcs as its so much better than the monster of the week whilst something happens in the background to move overall season plot along.

It's back in late April. Breaks are annoying as feck but that's the price you have to pay for such a high standard of production.

I think I'd have preferred a longer break and a continuous run though, to be fair! Than a small break back for 3 episodes then a long break.

They must lose so many regular viewers with all this stopping and starting. Really great show though!

Yeah thats my worry, and then all of a sudden, "were cancelling cos of a drop of viewers" or some ish like that. Longer break with a run would be my preferred way as well.

Had this on my list on Netflix for a while now, but never really felt like i wanted to watch it.
I'm now sort of out of series to watch, and looking for new ones.
Is this show any good?

It is great.

So much better than the teeny feelgood superhero shows like Flash, Supergirl etc.

Only thing about level was season 2 of Arrow before they went all touchy feely and started blaming themselves for everything.

Guess i'll give it a go then.

Are there super heroes/villains or just normal criminals in it?

A mix of both, you get both Poison Ivy, the Joker and The Penguin etc. but you also get normal criminals.

Always something cartoonish about the normal criminals though.

Just has a sort of gritty and dark feel to it.

Cool, sounds alright.
Thanks.

It was a good episode but they really need to sort out Bruce and Selena's relationship I'm getting sick of it. One minute they're friends next minute she wants nothing to do with him, its getting boring now and at times add nothing to the show. I'm really glad they got Nigma into full Riddler character now and got Lucius Fox more involved.

Better get used to it,because this off and on relationship goes on in his adult life.

Planned to play some rocket league after work tonight, but ended up watching 4 episodes.
Love it so far.

Just caught up on last weeks return episode (have yesterdays still to watch)
Glad its back, its madness in a good way.
Do enjoy the Riddler / Penguin stuff.

And agreed, glad they are using Fox more.

I'm waiting for season 3 to hit netflix. I didn't like the show initially, but it grew on me.

Bit confused.
It doesn't seem to follow the exact same story as other Batman films and series.

Can someone explain my Barbara Kean/Gordon confusion please?
Hide it woth spoiler if necessarry :)

I like when the villains team up.

You answered it yourself.
They have taken liberty with creativity so its not going to follow the exact story as the films / comics etc.

Also Barbara is quite fantastic. She was an annoyance in s1.

Yeah, i noticed Nygma's story being different from some films.
I googled some characters, and according to those, Barbara is the name of his ex, and his daugther...
Was wondering if i was just confused cause she is different in the series compared to the comics or films, or if that is how the story goes.

Ah, in this show, Barbara is just Jims ex. They werent married though.

Since Lee now is pregnant, it would be weird to name their kid after his ex, considering the history between Lee and Barbara :)
Was what made me wonder.
