Television Gotham - TV series

I see some photos have leaked online of a new joker. I'm not saying anymore as it could be deemed as spoiler.

The villains are not the only ones changing .Another good episode.

Was Jerome in one of the tube thingies at the end? Or was that someone else.

I think I saw Galavan, Jerome and a guy missing an arm - can anyone confirm?

Yes it was Galavan .And Strange as plans for him later in the season.

Yeah, certainly Galavan. They had Jeromes's back to the camera on purpose to tease us, no doubt about it.

On the leaked pictures, it's not the legit joker but should be interesting though. Season is hotting up with Strange now coming to the forefront.

With Strange in doing what he's doing I'm confident Jerome will be back and is the Joker. I'm also still convinced Fish will be back due to Strange as well and we'll get the reveal that she's Cat's mother.

Catfish.

Definitely looks like Galavan, Jerome, a one-armed man and some other random chap.

Another good episode this week, not sure about the direction they are going with Oswald but that's probably because I have grown fond of the weird, little fella. Whoever wrote the 'duck, duck, goose' scene should be taken outside and shot, it had no rightful place in what is becoming a generally well crafted series.

This is how Gotham should have been from the beginning imo. All about the villains. Really really enjoyed the last two episodes.

Do you reckon Gotham will be on long enough for Batman to start making an effect?

Please no. Anyone but her. The show has become so much better without her.

Trying not to read anything in this thread as I've just started watching this thing, I'm on 9th episode of 1st season and I just wanted to say that how they portray the to be villains is fantastic. Just got to the scene where Harvey Dent's talking to Gordon et al. while playing something on the projector and half of his face is covered in shadow, then you've got Nygma with his questionmark mug, little things but it builds quite a nice atmosphere.

Good ep, but seemed like it was missing something.

Id much prefer Penguin of s1 than whatever he is now, but we shall see. I do hope we get a good arc for a good villain (like Freeze).

It did seem like a bit of a filler episode or one that swiftly tucked away a few loose ends to allow them to move in a different direction in terms of plot.

I felt one or two moments alluded to Penguin faking/going along with it but nothing concrete came of it by the end of the episode. I also don't like his story too much and it's only the fact that they have done a good job of making me like him that keeps me interested in his part. It won't be too long before we see him return to his old ways, I'm pretty sure of that.

By the looks of it they have either written Bruce out of it for a while or firmly placed him as a peripheral figure so we should see much more emphasis on the villainy and/or Gordon. It seems Nigma is being lined up to turn all-out bad pretty soon as well.

I actually really liked the punk lady in this episode (forgot her name), not too sure about the 'homage to Joker' make-up that they put on her but there was just something about the way she played the role that I think worked really well, it'd be a shame if that was the last we saw of her.

A welcome move if it happens for me. Bruce's scenes just bother me and bore me to death.

I think the best recent episode didnt have Bruce in it or shoehorned in for the sake of it (which happened a lot in season 1).

I think they need to build some villains like they did with Freeze. I agree with @facund regarding Penguin though.

And that punk jokerish lady was decent, even if shes a one-off.

:wenger: Ermmm, not so sure what to say about this weeks episode.

A lot happens without a lot actually happening (as ridiculous as that sounds). It felt like a return to the bad early days of the show with a really thin plot not giving the viewer much time to engage/invest in the events. Not sure why they rushed it so much as it removed any sense of drama and/or intrigue but hopefully it is just a one-off to push things on time wise. He'll probably be out and re-sanctified by the end of the next episode if things carry on the same.

Meh.

Are you guys watching on Channel 5 or on American time?

I'm really enjoying it (Channel 5)!

I watch it on the internet so am up-to-date with American airings. Where is Channel 5 up to?

Last episode was Gordan shouting Galavan presumably dead in cold blood.

Christ that seems like ages ago (I think it's only 4 or so episodes). I'll be sure to spoiler my future comments or be suitably cryptic.

Oh no it's okay, I haven't looked in this thread because I knew you guys would be ahead. I just posted and only came in as you directly replied....

I. am. outahere!

Good episode. You just know when the penguin goes back to his evil self he will be even more bitter and twisted than before. Good to see Bruce also slowly but surely maturing.

I hate what the Penguin has become.. Him and the forensics lad create good viewing

#FreeEvilPenguin

Forensics lad. You mean Riddler? :P

I liked the episode especially as they are moving away from crime of the week stuff and bigger arcs (or two or three ep arcs).
I hope this version of Penguin doesnt last though.

Same. Given the pace at which the other DC/Marvel tv shows resolve minor plotlines like this I can't imagine it'll take too long though.
