Guardiola insults medical staff | Medical team resigns

They should lock him in a room with Mourinho and Simeone and see who survives.
Simeone would have the other two for breakfast.

I'm surprised we haven't seen any antics/balls from LVG yet!

People are debating whether Pep's antics were directed at the medical staff or not? You're missing the point - he did it when Benatia got injured. Where he was looking or who's sitting next to whom doesn't matter. That's sufficient proof it was directed at the medical staff.

Their response was that a total of 1 (one) question on that matter was allowed in yesterdays press conference and all further questions were blocked.

The official club statement said "we regret.... we thank Doc MW for the past years... end of story". This seems extremely tight-lipped for someone with as many merits and a three-decade history with the club. It has "Rummenigge" written all over it, in my opinion another sign that it was Rummenigges doing. Also Pep reacted very emotionally to to the accusation that he might have blamed the medics for Porto.
Clubs tend to do that. Imagine it would come out sooner or later, specially with Bayern.

And the extended vine shows the doctor getting pissed and walking off.

But the camera angle? He was surely directing his ire at this staff than the medical guys? Or something..

I watched that game. He has plenty of reason to be angry as the MLS all stars were going in pretty heavy on challenges in the last 20 minutes.
You made me angry, I'm not gonna shake your hand even if you offered to. HMPHHH!!!

Sounds like my baby sister

I really hope the doctor would have gone into the dressing room to treat the injured player ,who was limping of the pitch, anyway. It's his job after all. So while I still believe Pep acted like a dick, the fact that the doctor left the bench in this specific moment proves feck all.

If he didn't do the clappy thing to the medical staff which he is getting a load of shit for it, why haven't any of the medical staff said "he didn't do it to us"?

I don't know mate, Pep has always been full of over exaggerated gestures. Some of the stuff he does is down right weird. He was looking at Sammer but he may have been directing it towards the medical staff. But then it is also equally likely that he may have been just venting his frustrations in his usual ott manner. Still inexcusable though. One things for sure, the media will have a field day with him should he come to england one day.

Here's the article in German.

http://www.tz.de/sport/fc-bayern/pe...kusen-hoehnischem-klatschen-meta-4917602.html

i can see this from all sides really.

Firstly, I see a really frustrated coach who is a notorious perfectionist, momentarily losing his cool. Stop the press.

Secondly, we can't really tell who that is aimed at, if indeed it is aimed at anyone. It's all conjecture and speculation.

Thirdly, if I was the subject of this sort of public ire, I would be extremely annoyed, especially as a seasoned professional.

Fourthly, we don't know what has been going on behind the scenes. It's not the first time MW has quit. Great doctor by all accounts, but sounds a bit precious.

Fifthly, Bayern is a very political club full of opinionated personalities. This goes back to the last point. Other people may be involved in this debacle.

And finally, it's easy to judge from the comfort of an armchair. When you live your life under the watchful gaze of TV cameras, it's hard not to ever make a mistake. Lots of people came in here quick to get the knives out, without knowing the facts. Smacks of personal bias rather than reasonable judgement.

This is the most reasonable post in here.

Even if Pep was a bit of a dick for a few seconds, so what.
Everyone is sometimes. IF Wohlfahrt went because of that he is the childish one here.
Reports say that there was an argument, but between Rummenigge and Wohlfahrt.
Pep wasnt even there. Also surprised by the leaving of Wohlfahrt.
I know that I sound like a Bayernfan who defends his club. BUT Pep never had such outbursts and there was never that big of a deal between him and the medical stuff.
In my eyes we have a great but also bit butthurt Wohlfahrt, a Kalle who got angry about yet another injury and Pep, who acted like a human for a second.
This is a bit of a mess but the playes still can and will go to his place and we already have a replacment.

All fine in the end. And Pep really shouldnt be judged because of a vine where no one has any clue what he meant.

Only just saw a video of the incident. I thought it must've been something like two claps. Guardiola is nuts.

I think you all make too much out of the scene at Leverkusen. That was just a frustrated Pep about a player that never seems to be getting really fit - maybe one that is drawn between the lines, too.

There is a conflict since the beginning between the sides and an unhealthy situation - and that for sure has to do with two different ways how to handle things that now somehow has escalated - probably not because of Pep but of other people involved and the injury situation being really bad (but that just out of bad luck without any culprits).

The problem is that this does not help the overall situation. Neuer just got interviewed and told that he is still a MW-customer because of the national team (nothing surprising here) - it is the same with all of the German national team players. Robben and Ribery will not change doctors either and nobody will press them to it because Müller-Wohlfahrt is essential for their well being.
