How do Chelsea fans feel about losing KdB, Salah and Lukaku?

Hindsight is 20/20, all those who "knew" KdB was going to be world class and laugh at Chelsea for letting him go...he went to Wolfsburg with barely a challenge from any of the big clubs.

It's all about timing, not every club can hold onto players and wait for them to develop into their best version.

Precisely! If it was such a dumb decision to sell KdB, how come none of the big clubs went for him?

Hindsight is wonderful but every big team sell some major talent.

The loan to Fiorentina was with an option to buy.

Maybe Salah wanted it put in?

With us Jose has said a lot that he'll let players leave if they wish and i think this is just another case of that. Not really the forcing out that people like to paint.

Or, you know, because he's a top class striker who is better than any striker they currently have?

Chelsea themselves tried to break their transfer record and bring him back by bidding £70m+ for him less than a year ago, remember.
Lukaku a top class striker... imagine that

Well, if you sleep over it, any player that leaves the team and goes to another environment, has a change to develop and become a good player.
Also, for some, such experiences raise their mental level, they put their head down, work hard and become very good players.
It's football, some people leave and fail, some people leave and become stars, disregarding their initial potential to an extent.

Players are more prone to embraced the globalised world these days. In some ways its good because that means that clubs like United and Chelsea can attract the best talent around. On the other hand players are more impatient these days. Unless they see their career progress at the pace they believe it should then they will leave.

Losing Kdb, Salah and Lukaku is nowhere near as different as us losing Pique, Pogba and Rossi (who was doing extremely well up until his injuries ruined him)

We've lost a few good ones that have left me gutted (not that they were right or wrong decisions - just left me gutted at the time)... e.g

Tevez, Pique, Beckham, Obi Mikel (!), Di Maria, Stam (more Fergie's choice and Ronaldo (sob). and if it wasn't for that dodgy Madrid Fax machine De Geea :(

I mean, they did win 2 PLs in 3 years. Not bad at all.

If we had to let Martial go, and ended up winning 2/3 titles in the upcoming years, I would take that deal.

Selling De Bruyne was idiotic even without hindsight no matter how you cut. But, the Lukaku situation was worse than people remember. Yes they had Diego Costa when they sold Lukaku out right. But, the year before they sent him out on loan to Everton even though he had a good loan spell with West Brom and had Demba Ba, a washed Samuel Eto'o and an even more washed Fernado Torres battling for the #9 position. No one could have predicted Salah would become this though.
