Is Pochettino's time at Spurs coming to an end?

He's done. STill love the guy but cant see him turning this round, he is making odd decisions and the football has reverted back to what it was in his first season.

Kane and Son are on new contracts so no, Alli? I wouldn't give a feck where he went to be honest. Are you taking about players leaving or actually following him to his next club?

Both really, what's happened to Alli he used to be good, now he gives me Lingard vibes.

Very rarely do you see a leaving manager taking players with him, its not like he owns them. Alli has apparently been playing with an injury, but no real evidence to support it, also Poch would pick him if he had score a hat trick of own goals in his previous match.

No I don't. If anything most of the players will likely be glad to see him go at this stage - it really looks like half the team don't want to play for him anymore.

Yeah, something is certainly a miss behind the scenes, Eddie Howe is my first choice.

True, but you've seen it Jose brining in Matic to Utd. I've always had the impression Poch and the players had a strong relationship. Up until this season the players would literally run through a brick wall for him.

Dead man walking now. I can see him at Madrid after Christmas, I don't see Zidane lasting much longer there. He's just stagnated now and the squad hasn't changed enough to keep things fresh, best for both if they have fresh starts.

Eddie Howe seems to be Arsenal’s choice as well. I just think the guy is likeable and has good ideas on how the game should be played.
He is however defensively naive and I’m not sure he could handle the egos and big money signings at top 6 clubs.
I’d say Rodgers,Nuno are much better equipped to step into a Spurs or such like

People keep talking about Zidane but Real are 2nd in La Liga and doing much better than Barcelona are

What do you think is going on? Seems really strange seeing as you had a good summer. Obviously the issues with Eriksson, Vertonghen and Alderweireld are unusual and suggest to me there's something wrong with the set up/bad vibes behind the scenes. Can't help having that going on in the dressing room. @balaks @SquishyMcSquish

If this was 2/3 seasons ago they would have been sold. Poch doesn't like having players in the team that aren't committed long term. Levy playing hardball hasn't helped matters.

I still don’t entirely understand what happened there during the summer. It seemed like a whole load of the first team were sold, were for sale (Rose, Alderweireld, Eriksen, Wanyama) or were being really heavily linked with a move away at times (Vertonghen, Aurier, Dier). I get that players want bigger deals but it seemed like they were happy to let quite a few go. Is it solely down to contractual situations?

What planet are you living on?

I guarantee Mourinho's next job will be a huge club, and he'll win major trophies.

He'd be a hell of a coup for Spurs, although the Chelsea links would mean he's up against it from day one.
It didn't work at Utd for him and I'm not so sure it would at Spurs.

It’s bizarre that even the Spurs fans themselves think he’s done. He brought you to the CL final just last season FFS and you are currently in the top four in probably your worst ever start to a season. It’s absolutely knee jerking just like most of the United fans here after a defeat or two. He’ll make Spurs right again but of course I personally hope he doesn’t so Spurs can sack him and United can have him as manager

I don't think its Levy I think its the players simply wanting to go on a free, cant sell a player who doesn't want to go. This would be backed up by the fact the Toby, was available for £25M and there seemed to be no interest whatsoever. While Eriksen, while he didn't have a release clause, you would have thought there would have been some interest.

My take on it is this, Eriksen said continually that he would be open to the idea of staying while Toby basically said I'm going on a free, which Poch would have respected. Eriksen seemed to lead the club on in the belief Madrid would bite and he would get his move, they didn't. So now he will leave on a free, which probably pissed Poch off and lead to us trying for Dybala and Bruno.

Verts and Eriksen are very close, understandably, and Verts didn't like how Eriksen was being treated before the start of the season and therefore Verts "wasn't fit" to start. We didn't get Dybala or Bruno so Poch had to resentfully include Eriksen in his plans, GLC getting injured didn't help.

We have been shite since January and were not top 4, we are 7th.

It's all messy. I was thinking about this with regards to the amount of quality first team players that are seemingly available/wanting to leave from your first team as @Brophs has touched on. Given the success you had last season its bizarre. The equivalent of United having Maguire, Lindleof and Pogba running down their contracts and AWB and Mctominay being openly made available for transfer. All with little to no plan behind replacing them.

There's alot of talk about Kane being unhappy with things currently and with what Poch is saying there seems to be an awful lot of discontent behind the scenes.

Not sure what happens from here really?

If Spurs finish in the top four (I still think that is likely to happen), then would he have turned it around? The media would definitely think so.

I agree about how the football has regressed. A parting of the ways is probably best for Spurs and Poch because he won't get an opportunity to freshen up the squad.

You can't really pinpoint the decline on one thing. It's not as black and white as say Mourinho's third season.

None of the younger players have said anything about leaving, Toby always wanted to go, we knew that. Eriksen has pissed me off royally so he can feck right off, Verts is the only one I will miss on a personal level. We do have a rebuild but I do like the look of Ndombele thus far, who knows Poch could still turn it round but I agree at the minute its messy.

Oh I agree but his body language and passion does seem slightly faded, I think the CL Final knocked him a little, not really the fact we got beaten but more the fact if we had of performed we could and probably would have won it.

Fair enough about Toby, it's true no one was interested even with the low release clause. Levy did want wild money for Eriksen though I saw figures near 100mil, I think if the price was lower we would have gone for him.

Verts needs to mind his own business, I understand they're close but he shouldn't be getting involved. Him getting benched at the start of the season makes sense now.

Pochettino has done an amazing job at Spurs over the years and one blip this season isn't going to change that. It's absurd. I would drop Ole in a second for Pochettino to come here.
Substitute Pochettino for Mourinho and that post would not look out of place in 2016... And Jose actually had a track record of success.

We were Definitely in for Dybala and had agreed terms with Bruno. It would have been a massive window if we had gotten one of those and kept Eriksen. Yeah I agree about Verts but he's probably my favourite players of recent times.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him at United by the end of the season tbh.

Would be an odd move, if things stay the same, one under performing club to another in the same country. Id say he will be off to a new country.

I can see that, too.

But it wouldn't surprise me to see him at United. We like to appoint managers with red flags over their name. Plus, there's obviously something there between United and Poch; we should've gone for him a few seasons ago though, in reality.

I found it bizarre that Rose was being pushed out yet he's still your best full back and first choice?
