Is Pochettino's time at Spurs coming to an end?

Poch to us don't make sense. Apart from having a record worse than ours, he ll cost around 32 million unless Levy sacks him.
Moreover his signings at Spurs didn't set the world alight either

You cant ignore the job he did overall, and he's had some fantastic purchases.

What happened here? I remember Spurs holding the fort well when their front line was injured and then they come back and a disastrous losing streak started shortly after. Any Spurs fans tell us the exact turning point in all of this?

His style of play is no great shakes either.

Yes overachieving clubs always crash back to earth eventually. A harsh reminder it's nothing more than a cycle

Poch has had that team hugely over achieving. They've had a huge lack of investment over the last 3 seasons and it's now finally catching up with them.

For me, Pochettino is an outstanding manager and would be perfect for us given the way he uses young players and gets the best out of average ones.

We took Jose on after a real meltdown the season before....if we took Poch on, would it be history repeating?

I don't know, currently Klopp and Ancelotti are doing well but their previous jobs ended on a low, these things happen and managers react differently. For me the question is whether Pochettino is a good fit culturally, is he someone that will be able to do what Simeone or Klopp did and not only impose their personality but also adapt to their new club?

Interesting, so you think the real problem is Poch and not certain players?

Squad has weaknesses but it’s easily good enough for top four this season.

Poch at the moment is not working at all. I don’t even know what we’re trying to do.

Where Poch has had you for yonks. It seems him and the players are fed up?

Exactly. Unsure what people expected when he has players wanting out, no proper funds to replace and shifting stadiums in the past year. He's a very fecking good manager but hes no miracle worker. This state isnt surprising.

Rose wanted to move on
Trippier was sold and not replaced (not sure if thats Poch or Levy not buying)
Eriksen clearly wanted Spain
Vertonghen evidently wants out
Alderweirald has wanted out for a while

Most of these is likely down to pay and lack of ambition from the club as a whole. I don't think its a matter of them not liking Poch as a manager.

You have a few key players wanting out, that's enough to cause disarray regardless of how good the players are on paper.

It looks like the end of a cycle where everyone needs to see and do something different.

Pochettino is done at Spurs and probably needs a break from football. I bet if we take him to replace Ole, he would be just as bad but would also sulk in Mourinho's style.

Spurs will look across the pitch at Brighton and see their next manager.
Which they should.
Potter is getting Brighton to play like Liverpool but with far inferior players. How Brighton press is as I hoped we would be doing,
He did miracles in Sweden also and managed to make a village outfit beat Arsenal at the Emirates. He is the next great British manager and Spurs should pick him up if Poch goes.

I'm not Ole Out. But, if there's a chance to get Poch the only good manger available right now. We should risk it. Because it's very very clear Ole has ran out of ideas. I'm just saying.

Poch could do well at United. He’s lost the dressing room and support here, but Klopp was similar in the final season at Dortmund.

So are some under the impression we can't hire a manager that ever goes on a losing run.

Seems to be. Mostly from the delusional fans who still believe Ole will transform into SAF in three years.

Point is, Poch has proven himself capable of building a strong, youthful side that has remained in the top four consistently and challenged in Europe. It make perfect sense to hire him at this point, but our club don't do the obvious. They hire David Moyes and then make the hilarious mistake of hiring someone even worse.

Dortmund fans have claimed on numerous occasions that Klopp never lost the dressing room. The issues were related to selling players and sustaining many injuries.

It amazes me that people think that Pochettino would leave one club that refused to back the manager properly for another one.

Son remains a heck of a player, brilliant attitude, excellent talent.

A lot of people assuming we'll something like what Poch did originally. Our current set up and confidence is no doubt closer to this Spurs than that one so who's to say he can rescue it?

Spurs are in a weird position. Levy could write off this season and hope United or Spurs are desperate enough to but out Poch or sack him and have the players free in the summer down tools since they'll be waiting out time

Well one of the two clubs has a wage bill almost twice as big as the other and spent a lot more money than the other on players registration. So it's kind of a BS comparison.

How is it? He is clearly pissed off at the ongoings above his head and our failings at board level are epic. Why would he walk from one mess straight into another one?

I woud say that Levy deserve credit even more for getting players to Spurs. But as I said couple of weeks ago. People are overrating what Pochettino has done for Spurs. He has been good for Spurs and he took them a step further but that step was not that big. Look at the squad he had when he first arrived. Look at table couple of years before he came. Spurs were not a bad team. They were very good with very good players and finished 4-6 in table. Not bad considering strenght of other top teams. Good manager? Absolutly. But I'll stop there before saying world class or top manager. 0 trophies.

If Fighting Cock is a barometer of your typical Spurs fan, then Poch is done. :D

You compared a club that is one of the most spendy in the world to a club that has spent very little during almost 5 seasons. United backed all its managers, maybe it was done inefficiently but the money has been spent.

Ole should be our DoF and make Poch our new manager. Simple as that.

That's the last thing it is.

That's the forum all the melts join when they've been banned from all the other forums.

If he is not sacked in the next week I'll be stunned.

Be stunned.

I don’t think he’s going anywhere, not yet. He managed to loose 13 league games last season.

The downside to signing a massive contract to warn off potential suitors is that it’s going to cost a fortune to sack him.
