What's the problem? They are creating a DMZ to keep themselves safe from Hamas attempting another 7/10
Why not just annex the entire territory and be done with it. Make the entirety of Gaza a DMZ. And then when the Palestinians attack back from the Sinai take that back too.
Why declare borders when you can just continue to expand borders to make room for more holiday homes. Uncle Sam's blessings mean the sky's the limit.
Wiping them out would create the same effect to be fair, would be good to see that in action too I think.
Are you for real? What's the problem? The problem is that Hamas only ever came to be in existence because of the way Palestinians were treated and how their land was continually stolen from them. Being forced to live in apartheid conditions in a place named as 'The biggest open air prison on the planet' having freedoms stripped away, abject poverty, in fear of being arrested and held indefinitely without reason, beaten by Police or military and watching friends, family, neighbours suffer the same.
Now you are saying turning one large prison in to two after months of absolute destruction and tens of thousands of deaths and forcing millions of people to become refugees with the majority literally dying from starvation, is just Israel protecting itself.... Unbelievable.

There's an obvious difference though which is stated in the quoted tweet.
Hamas didn't come into existence because of the treatment of Palestinians. They could not care less about the Palestinians. They care for the Palestinians as much as Netanyahu does and Egypt and all the other Middle Eastern countries.
They came into existence because they could not stand that a Jewish secular state could function as a thriving democracy in "their" land and so their objective has always been for the total destruction of Israel. On the other hand, the PLO, at least recognised Israel as a state, which is fundamental if there is to be any basis for a 2-State solution and why Israel and Palestinians have in the past held talks.
I honestly have no problem with someone who doesn't follow the news, has no clue about what's happening there and then spouts similar crap. Ignorance is bliss. I'm much less forgiving toward people who are informed and have more than two brain cells to rub together, which is the case with these two who obviously have a skin in the game.
GiggsyPO is desperately trying to defend Israel even if it means clutching at straws and willfull blindness. I get where he's coming from even if he's misguided. I do however consider gtfactor86's takes as genuinely sociopathic with a healthy dose of fanaticism.
They don't reply to the points that contradict their claims because they'd immediately be smashed in the face by facts posted by their own army and government. And they know it. At this point, there's no informed person with basic human decency who'd go along with or justify what's being done right now in Gaza, unless being indoctrinated and/or a staunch racist. So they do what the Israeli propaganda does, distract, gaslight and wind up.
We had three Israeli posters whose point of view was really worth listening to and gave us valuable input. Sadly, they don't post here anymore or too rarely. Instead, we have these two.
