One other problem is that there's a big audience for this type of stuff.
This account and the one in berbatrick's tweet have posted hundreds of videos like this uploaded by those soldiers. They wouldn't have done so if there was no huge demand for this.

A number of children were shot dead by British soldiers in Northern Ireland. Just to speak of the UK.
They have been accused of killing children in the past, as well as torture, murder of unarmed combatants, taking humiliating pictures of enemy soldiers and sharing them, including pissing on them, also sharing pictures of dead bodies etc....
Although my point was more that when these things were made public those involved were usually tried and convicted. The cases I was thinking of were the humiliating pictures and pictures of dead enemy fighters being shared and the resulting outrage in the press and public and then the punishment afterwards. That's what was in the post I was replying to. However the IDF soldiers post these daily and face no consequences whatsoever.
Not quite sure where you were going with the dead children reply and making a leap and comparison that wasn't there or implied.
My point was that whatever US or UK soldiers did it absolutely pales in comparison to the IDF.
Yeah, I accept that, but I wasn't making that comparison or suggesting that. Just replying to the sick and twisted pictures and videos that the IDF continuously post day after day without any consequences whatsoever and pointing out UK and US soldiers have been heavily punished for doing the same in the past. Actually, I think when they did it they were punished for sharing the pictures between themselves and not posting them on social media like the IDF are.
Anyway, it's fecking sick and it's yet another crime to add to the long list of disgusting and depraved actions carried out without consequence while the world looks on.

Whatever UK or US soldiers did, and boy they did some, their standards are still miles higher than the IDF's.
It's an easy feat since the latter has none when it comes to Palestinians. They snipe children, women, elderly and unarmed people. They bomb out a whole neighborhood (or a refugee camp) to try to get one guy. They deliberately target ambulances and journalists. They help settlers stealing and burning Palestinian homes.
There's not a single shred of morality to be found in the IDF, bar a few exceptions. It's a racist, colonial army that acts like one. What we see now is nothing out of the ordinary for anyone familiar with this conflict, it's just never been so well documented. I guess we can thank Twitter and TikTok for that. Small mercies.
The only difference is that it never makes the front pages in the western mainstream media and even if it does, the West just doesn't give a shit. You know, Palestinians.

If the russians would be in a situation of power like the idf that is protected by the west, the western media, they propbably do even worse. You can add the war in Afghanistan in the eighties, the mass rapes in Germany in 1945... the list is long and the Russians are known to have a very loose interpretation of the laws of war.
However there's a level of institutionalized racism, dehumanization and sadism in the IDF that only occurs in armies of occupation, fed by a firm belief in oneself's superiority compared to the natives. And I mean by that, the good old school colonial countries from previous centuries, treating the indigenous populations as barely human in the best case and unleashing absolute violence at the slightest threat against the established order.
People need to realize that this is no normal war but a colonial one. The last one.
