Italian Serie A - 2020-2021

Milan with one available midfielder for tonight's game

Also missing their best fit attacker, rebic

Seems luck doesn't want juventus out of the title race just yet

Bloody luck still has us have three important players missing. It is not doing a good job!

But yeah, if we get our act together, we are still in it. Milan, Sassuolo and Inter next is difficult. But if Inter lose today and we win our three matches including the two wins against the two direct rivals, we are back in it. On the other hand, if we don't it will be difficult. Three finals.

Milan are missing Ibrahimovic, Bennacer, Tonali, Rebic and Krunic

You're missing Alex Sandro, Cuadrado and Morata

Bit of a difference here

It was in jest. Surely, if "luck" was on our side, it would make us have the whole team available! ;-)

Kessie still available I take it. Seems he's been on great form there for a year now so good to see as I thought he looked a tremendous prospect at Atalanta about 4 years ago when they first started to excite neutrals and finished high up in the league.

Mattia Caldara was great for them that season aswell. Thought he was destined for great things but career stalled since then.

Or it would force milan to play calabria in midfield. And Leao as a striker

Also inter forgetting how to finish even their lunches and getting bummed by sampdoria

Bad news for Juve: Sandro and Cuadrado positive at Covid test. Dybala got temperature too and should miss match against Milan
Dybala again? He tested positive for about 6 weeks in March

Dybala tested negative, from what i`ve heard.
Anyway, big match, especially for Juve, they`ve got all the pressure, if they dont win here then they are out of the race.

Also Saelemaekers. He's our best RW and we've never lost a game with him on the pitch even if we include the early 2020 games.

Not even including Gabbia, who may have started tonight, if Kjaer isn't fully fit.

Flock of pigeons still roaming inside the stadium. Looking for Young?

Fecking Inter, messed my acca up, was on with every other result but they look to have let me down.

Roberto d'Aversa's coming back to Parma! Honestly, I was surprised that they let him go so soon given how solid he made them. As good as Liverani was with Lecce, he's not that good at organising his defence. Parma's game was based on being defensively solid and countering, which Liverani tried to continue with Parma and failed on. The only plus from Liverani was how good Kucka got, but that's all that I'm aware of.

Milan have 3 wingbacks and 1 center mid on the pitch, gonna be interesting to see how they play.

Milan missing Ibrahimovic, Saelemaekers, Rebic, Bennacer, Gabbia, Tonali, half-injured Kjaer, unfit Conti and unfit Mussachio= advantage Juventus.
Milan missing Krunic= advantage Milan.
It all balances out.

Theo will murder Chiesa before the game is finished at this rate

Juve are playing well but they really miss Arthur's ability to escape the press

Eeeeh. Honestly. I mean, in the PL that doesn't get called 7 times out of 10

I think it was a foul, but it wasn't a particularly egregious decision

Apparently the ref told poor chiesa to feck off

Anyways, about time juventus don't get all the decisions going their way :D

Btw, calabria doing surprisingly well in that midfield role in attack - not so on defence but then he's not a midfielder. Biggest issue is they have to play Dalot and Castillejo together on that flank, which is baaaaad

Juve get shocking ref performances every other week in Italy this season. That goal aside Theo had two challenges that should have got a yellow in the first 10 minutes and the ref ends the half at 0 minutes of added time when they were attacking.

Bentacur's on a yellow isn't he? Wipes out Castillejo on halfway line and ref goes to Milan player and tells him to get up.

Yeah, i knew the anti-juve reffing couldn't last :(

Bentancur immediately subbed. More midfielders on for Juve so going to stifle life out of game for last 15 minutes considering it's just Ronaldo up there now.

Kulusevski teased Romagnoli all over the place there, game over.

Too much talent on one side, too many injuries on the other

Oh well

Juve had one of the best summers out of any team in Europe. McKennie, Chiesa, Kulusevski, Arthur, Morata... they're all class and not expensive at all.

Bentancur and Rabiot need to be rotational options in midfield. Arthur and McKennie should start

The thing that worries me most about Juventus tonight was their depth:

- Morata not available?? -> Dybala: 2 assist
- Cuadrado tested positive for COVID-19? -> his reserve, as RWB, Chiesa scores 2
- Kulusevski x Chiesa and McKennie x Dybala just after their 2nd goal? -> McKennie scored, Kulusevski assisted..

When even Juventus 2nd/3rd choices are able to make difference and defeat Serie A leader then it's most likely done for Scudetto

and yet all I ever hear is how outside of Dybala Ronaldo is supposedly surrounded with crap.

Arthur total value 82m.
Pjanic+15m
Chiesa 40m
Morata 40+5m
Kulusevski 45m
McKennie 18,5m

Lot of money if you ask me.
Unless we don't plan to pay Morata and let him go back

Well, Arthur outrageous valuation sticks out, but that's only a trick to balance the FFP books, and that was actually a steal for Juventus, as they got a 24 yo for a 30 yo and a small sum, and the huge capital gain they registered on Pjanic gave them a lot of breathing room for FFP compliance in the short term.

All the others, those may be big price tags for the Serie A market, but are really mundane for european big teams, at least in the pre-covid world.
