Ah, .Rossi's gonna .Rossi.

Has done well so far. Working hard, some nice touches and could have had a assist and a goal.

If Brighton don't go up - looking unlikely at the moment, HT in the 2nd leg - I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back there for another season. He has definitely got something about him, just needs to be developed.

Haven't seen any of his games but that's a poor goals return in the championship.

Having said that, Kane was shit in the Championship too..

calling this football would be really harsh on sport, it lacks quality all over, they just cant make 5 yard pass and they are fighting for promotion to premier league, as much as Id like to see Wilson get promotion, Hull probably deserves it more, willo should perhaps do better with his chances as well..

Only watched the second half but Brighton have been shite, Sheff Weds have done everything possible to stifle the game out, and Wilson has looked horribly isolated. Heard he had some good moments in the first though.

Yeah, first half was damn entertaining and some quality football by Brighton. Unlucky to be level going in at HT and then as the game went along it turned more and more a scrap.

You probably missed the first half ?

Lacks a bit of stamnia, perhaps? Hopefully something he can use the summer to work on. Harry Kanes work ethics made him. Wilson is probably just as talented, but work ethic beats talent most of the time.

After that shite, I wouldn't want to send him back there, he's far too isolated and has too many long balls to deal with. When he's gets on the ball with his feet he looks a player who could do something with it. If he has to go out on loan next year I hope he goes to a team that plays with the ball on the ground. Let him run at players like he did in the U21.

Couldn't agree more. Every time I've watched him play for them it's been like that. Such a waste of ability

I'm no longer convinced the Championship is good prep for the premier league - at least for young strikers.

Bamford looked an absolute star, useless in the prem. Kane looked dross, quite good in the prem.

For whatever reason - whether it's the pace and skill of defenders, the lower physicality - who knows - it doesn't seem to translate for young players.

I thought he did pretty well tonight, he got very little service and was chasing a lot of lost causes, but he had some good moments on the ball and got into good scoring positions a couple of times.

Is that based on his 2 starts or his grand total of 353 minutes across 2 different clubs?
He was a 1 in 2 striker at Boro, looked terrible at Palace and Norwich. Hopefully he gets another chance next season, but hardly looked ready for it.

I thought it was a good game actually, more exciting than anything I've seen from us this season which is depressing to think about, I thought Wilson did "OK" in the circumstances. He definitely needs another season on loan getting regular games though.

Quite good? He is better then anything Wilson will ever be to be honest.

I understand what you are saying though and do tend to agree. But we have seen when we loan players abroad or lower in the PL it not really benefiting our players either.

Was being facetious about Kane - he's the best striker in the league. Apologies :)

My point is Bamford hasn't looked like anything because you can hardly even consider that playing in the PL. The exact player you cite as looking dross in the Championship but good in the Premier League had an almost identical PL loan spell at coincidentally the exact same club in Norwich where he also never got to play. You can't draw any conclusions on Bamford until he actually gets to play just like everyone who drew conclusions on Kane based on his time at Norwich and have been proven wrong.
