:eek::nervous:

I see it more like:

---------------De Gea---------------

Smalling------Rio-----Evans------Evra

---------------Welbeck--------------

We're playing Liverpool away - it's a tough match, we're usually out fought, so that team has so much strength and graft - maybe chuck on some more attacking players later in the game and Bob's your uncle...am pretty confident tbh. Naive to play the Nani's Chica's et all of our squad

Rarely performs against the Dippers, add to the the shit storm of the week. Rooney isn't above being protected by Ferguson. He did it when the affair stuff happened to. Great man management. He'll be itching to get on and prove a point though.

Yeah, I can see the logical...but..but...he's our best player. Tough call, though.

What is SAF thinking. 1-1

Given our last encounters at Anfield hes probably looking at the game being won from the players he can bring off the bench, 1 nil down and having Nani/Rooney ready to come on to prove something would give us a hell of a fighting chance... Or even coming on after 60-70 minutes would cause havoc

Nice one by Ferguson again. Since they always start with the pressure from the first whistle we have defensive team that can resist that well. At the right time we can send both Rooney and Nani in and cause their tired defence problems they won't be able to cope with. Can't wait for the start!

If we get to half-time/60 mins or so without conceding, hitting them with our subs will be terrifying.

Carragher's tired legs against Hernandez

Berbatov can't get into the 18 even though he has retired from International Break :(

Interested to see how this team fares, our normal set up hasn't done as well at Anfield recently, so perhaps this is the change of approach required. And if it doesn't work out, that's one hell of a bench to reinforce from.

Well all I can say is there may be a slight doubt about Rooney's mental state and Nani played twice for Portugal in the past two weeks. So maybe in an ideal world, he'd have played Rooney instead of Welbeck and Nani instead of Giggs. Who knows.

That's always likely to happen when you drop/rest/protect your 3 best attacking players.

I see we've reached the point in the season where Fergie spends two months dicking about with the team every single week while players get blamed for our subsequent crap performances.

Jones protecting the back 4 is a good move. But Rooney & Nani on bench is strange.

A lot of grafters in the middle.

What is the bench for the home team?

I think he's thinking let's not lose it early on, as can happen at Anfield. Because imagine the introduction of Rooney, Hernandez and Nani in the last 30 minutes, if hopefully no injuries or cards etc.,

That's probably what we have missed against Liverpool. Surprised to see Carrick on the bench even though I expressed my reservations about him in this fixture in the football forum.

You always sound so pessimistic. We will still batter them.

We're obviously looking to contain them for the first hour or so, then bring Nani/Rooney on against the tired legs.
