Liverpool v Manchester United

Fergie will probably play 4-4-2 like the past few games at Anfield and they'll run circles around our midfield.

PLEASE pack the midfield for this one!

It's not so much our formation that they've rang rings around but it's more about the personnel we've had in that 4 man midfield.

I seem to remember us playing with Carrick and Scholes as the centre mids and possibly even Giggs playing on the wing aswell. (?)

I reckon we should play 4-4-2 but make sure we have players with legs in there to make sure we don't get outworked by Liverpool like we have done previously. Having Rooney playing in the same area as Adam should be fun.

We're due a big win against them at Anfield, and not an other Vidic spaz moment.

0-4 please.

This game is too early for Vidic. Rio should be fit. Not sure on Smalling or cleverley fitness.

We love to play against someone who attacks us leaving enough space to exploit by wings and forwards. Since they play home there'll be pressure from the start and their slow defence has zero chances against Nani, Young, Rooney and Welbeck/Hernandez on the counter attack. Apart from Suarez there's no player that can cause serious damage to us if we play back four with Smalling/Jones-Ferdinand-Vidic-Evra and this is ideal match for us to win at Anfield, it's been far to long since the last time we got something there. Can't see us losing, but honestly wouldn't settle for the draw either, their only strenght is home ground and that's it, everything else from the players quality to manager is on our side.

Please no 4-4-2. People are creating chances for fun against us and the 2 man midfield has been a disaster at Anfield in recent year.

Carrick Anderson Cleverley please!

If everyone was fit.

Last time we had Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Berbatov all in the side, with a Brown-Smalling centre-back partnership. No wonder we got hammered. It was the same the season before that, with better CBs but still a pedestrian front six.

This time we should pack the midfield, preferably with Fletcher and Cleverley both playing alongside Anderson, otherwise we'll be outfought and bullied once again (though at least we won't have a static and slow Scholes being overrun) and Liverpool will use that platform to outplay us as well, as they did on the last three occasions.

It won't be a pretty game; I'd accept a draw here and now.

De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Evra, Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, Nani, Young, Rooney

I havent like the look of Rio with Evans/Jones and with Carrick/Fletcher helping out I think they can manage. Im not a fan of throwing players back into the lineup when off for so long so Id rather they be on the bench and come on after an hour where their adrenaline of returning could see them out the half hour.

I do expect Fergie will put Vidic, Smalling right into the lineup, not so sure on Cleverely but as Heapy said, its time to give Liverpool a good game at anfield :D

Please please please let us put in better than the usual crock of shit performance we do at Anfield!

We're going down in this one boys. 1-3 (Welbeck; Adam, Suarez, Kuyt). It's their cup final, Carragher will almost break at least two players legs and get a slight ticking off, our defence is due a pummelling etc

They were much better than us since 2008 2009 at Anfield ... Last season we were appalling, worst I've seen us play in years.

I hope we play 3 in the middle and take advantage of the adventurous aspect of their team this season.

Awful away record, to be honest.

We're due a win there, surely our appalling record in recent times must end.

We are the better team and we need to show it. If push came to shove, I'd settle for a stoppage time winner, but I'd really love to smash them 4-5 goals.

i dunno who the ref is - I'm just hoping that the silly twat won't get intimidated but the crowd and their players. I often get this impression that refs are reluctant to punish Lpool at Andfield.

whatever gave you that impression?

We are clearly the better side, enough said.

I hope we come through this without Carragher or Gerrard killing or maiming anyone, I suggest Nani, Young and Cleverly are prime targets, be careful out there guys...

11 frigging days to go. 11! fecking internationals.

Spurs handed Liverpool their hat playing 2 in midfield with Defoe in the team.

I don't think we need a 3rd central midfielder.

10 men Liverpool. At home. Completely different.

The way we've been playing recently, if we play 2 in the middle at Anfield we're just asking for trouble.

I think I'd rather we play three in midfield for this one. If fit:

de Gea
Jones Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Fletcher Carrick Anderson
Nani Rooney Young

fecks sake Fletcher has tonsillitis and is doubtful for the game

That'll help, not hinder you.

Not really since he's generally been a core reason for our victories in tight games.

Also he hasn't played in any of our last 3 fixtures against Liverpool at Anfield. All of which we've lost.
