Liverpool vs. Manchester United

Well, we found out one thing in that first half. Shelvey posts on RAWK and is bought by the Mister Alex Ferguson conspiracy.

Shelvey can feck off, first he tries to kill Evans, then telling Rio he's a cnut and then telling Fergie he's a cnut.

Go to hell Shelvey.

He's just ridiculously good. Best CB i've seen play on a consistent basis. On 1.5 legs, he's giving an exhibition on defending out there.

What a ridiculously shite half from us though. If we have to hoof the ball every fecking time, we should have got Carroll not RVP. Such brilliant players and we come up with utter dross on our biggest game. So irritating to see.

One of the worst halves I've ever seen. Rio was good, and I suppose Lindegaard was solid, but I can't think of too many others.

RVP without service is an absolute waste of money - it's no knock on him, but Rooney at least will be involved, bad first touch or no.

Nani is becoming a real worry. He's actually making me miss Ashley Young.

Kagawa needs to run with the ball more. He's such a threat moving forward.

Valencia has looked very much like the 2010-11, pre-injury version - in other words, ineffective.

Carrick and Giggs have been anonymous. I'd bring Scholes, especially since we now have numerical superiority.

Rio Ferdinand... Truly world class first half.Flawless first half in terms of defending
If this had stayed 11 vs 11 (btw well deserved red card, that retard of Shelvey had to be off) I'm 1000% we'd have lost.
This has been an inept and extremely frustratingly shy first half.Appalling football and more than ever I agree with noodle, this was far worse than the usual zombie like performance.
Kagawa is too lightweight and physically he's struggling big time, Nani has been shit, Valencia has been shit too.I don't get Lindegaard always kicking it towards Valencia whereas Johnson is winning every single header

Rafael has been good.. Hasn't given an inch.. Fought for every ball..
We need somebody like him in midfield.. Problem is we have none....

Dire.

Performance-wise, we can only improve in the 2nd half (we will play better vs. men, right?)
Result-wise, I can see Liverpool snatch a winner. cnuts.

Well, that wasn't very good. We defended well, Evans has been very good in particular I thought, but going forward...Jesus. Nani and Valencia have done nothing in attack and RVP has barely had the ball.

Don't see why so many hink the red was harsh though. He jumped in with both feet off the ground and planted his studs on Evans' leg. About as clear cut as they come for me. Let himself down when he was walking off too.

Well that was very poor, I think Fergie was right when he said these occassions can lead to flat performances and that's been the case for us, no real urgency or concentration and poor communication. Biggest issue is Suarez, he keeps dropping off and too often Giggs isn't in the right position to stop him and so he's able to get the ball and run at our defenders. We're dealing with him well in the box but one mistake and he can cause damage. Ideally we could get Giggs to sit a bit deeper or get someone else who will. The attacking players need to wake up. Nani has been a bit sloppy, Valencia isn't playing the ball quick enough/accurately nor attacking Johnson, Kagawa imo should drop a bit deeper so he can run with the ball rather than always look to turn and RVP needs to drop deeper to get involved and stop pulling out to the left so much.

Shelvey pointing at SAF. Classy as ever the fecking scousers after everything SAF did for the game today.

Slow, hesitant and absolutely sloppy. Why on earth are we so bad at passing? We cannot place a ten yard pass much less a 20-30 yard one. This cannot continue, it's just ridiculous.

Think Carrick and Giggs starting together was a mistake. Giggs likes to go forward and Carrick doesn't exactly 'sit' in that role so we're left completely fecked when one of our rare ventures into their half fails.

We've been awful apart from the back 5, nobody can hold on to the ball, getting shrugged off too easily or just not passing to the right person. Now that we have a man more hopefully we can settle on the ball and actually cause some problems.

What a load of shite. We need to improve or we'll get embarrassed even more. Get Scholes on.

Saf has to change things or we are going to loose against 10 men. We can't carry players any longer. Giggs off for Cleverly and Kagawa for Anderson. Make the subs at half time not 75mins.

Rio has been brilliant, that's the only positive player wise.

Other than that they are down to 10 men and believe me, we were in for thrashing of the royal kind.

The ref's been very decent, and sensible, IMO.

Ferdinand is schooling these bastards

Probably for telling Johnson to stop falling, or because he's tackling their players. Plenty of reasons, I imagine. They're booing Evans for getting tackled - so you get the point.

They might as well just boo every opponent from the kick off really. Won't have to make up reasons during the game then.

What sort of emotion are you feeling now? Sadness for me.

I guess I used the word one too many times. But yeah sad. IF we lose as it stands not one of us could even argue it was unjust. Liverpool have dominated and we haven't even looked like challenging them. The entire midfield, not just its centre, has been in the same form as in midweek. Even if we call for Scholes as some are saying I can't see what he can do when Nani and Valencia are being so wasteful. Shinji has done well but we simply aren't getting him into the action even against 10.

Rio has been class.

and for everyone who is saying that shelvey left the floor with two feet, I'm pretty sure Evans did as well... though he got the ball at least...

I need to see it again I think...
