Selling Nani would sour the entire transfer window on my part.

He's our most talented winger, and possibly the one player we have who on his day is absolutely capable of tearing entire teams apart.

If, and a big if, he was sold for a huge fee and enabled us to bring in a player/two players of sufficient quality I wouldn't be as sour about it.

If he wasn't replaced I'd be livid.

If we had a physical caf office, I'd print that post, frame it and put it up in the most populated place there.

drama queen.

I suppose that showdown talks will amount to him flinging himslef to the carpet in Fergie's office and rolling around a lot?

Good to see that even when he doesn't make the matchday squad he puts on the colours, and joins the supporters on the terraces, true red:

If Fergie doesn't fancy it and has a replacement in mind then fine...otherwise he is vital to the way we play for me and capable of being a game changer.

Even if he has a replacement in mind, for £25m we aren't going to get anybody better.

Would be madness to sell Nani

I'd rather we get rid of Rooney

If we sold nani for 25m, i think that would be a more laughable decision than buying carroll for 35m. We should hang our heads in shame if this is real.

Nani is worth at least 40 million.

He is an incredible player with his best years still ahead which is scary.

 rather sell Rooney.

Given Rooney's previous contract debacle, it's really not a laughable claim to make at all. I certainly would, Nani has shown this club far more respect than Rooney and the difference seems to be that he actually wants to sign a new contract, there's just something in the way.

Why? Are you going to give a reason for this or just post more laugh faces?

I would also rather sell Rooney too if forced on a choice. Would rather keep both.

Rooney will leave us sooner or later. This is a guy who's already attempted to engineer a move, and disrespected the club in the process. He's an Everton fan, nothing more, nothing less.

Without actually... you know... signing a contract?

It's only mental because another United site it's all the other way...it's mental how different people see it. I asked would you sell Nani if an offer of 35 million came in. 75% said yes. They certainly wouldn't sell Rooney for that price.

I've said it before,I'll say it again...I wouldn't want to see Nani gone. On his day, like our Wayne../he's unplayable.

The reason I'm having a giggle is I can't understand why we're talking about selling a striker who has totted over 20 goals a season 4 times in his time with us...and managed 129 league goals in just over 250 games for us.

Nobodyis saying we're desperate to sell because we need cash. So where does Rooney come into it?

Another stick to beat him with. It's a little pathetic. I'd rather sell alot of players than Nani. So fecking what?

So did Ronaldo. Yet folk still jizzed everytime he got the ball his final season.

Viva Ronaldo!

I think Nani is been incredibly overrated by some. And I really like him. He can be a cracking player.

But looking through some of these threads, you would think he was a World Class superstar.

Sorry but he is not. He is too inconsistent to be considered as highly as some have him.

This does not mean I want him to leave or don’t rate him.

I think the general consensus is that along with Valencia he has been the best winger in the league in the least few years, and one of the best in Europe. The stats most certainly do back that up. I don't think anyone says he's a "superstar", more so that he has the potential in him to be "World Class" (however you define it), which he clearly does.

EDIT: He's also been arguably Portugal's best player for the last 2-3 years too.

Where do you compare him to Rooney?

Honestly, also considering stats, international career and all.

Totally this is how it is sometimes here. I really like him and IMO he is our best winger even though some will disagree but some people just take it to another level.
