Malaysian Plane crashes over the Ukraine | 17th July 2014

Very sad. Just heard one of the passengers took a tweeted a pic of the plane as he was boarding, saying "in case it disappears, this is what it looks like".

I was watching a Russian stream earlier they showed uncensored bodies in the most sickening conditions, passports and tickets with names fully readable. Unbelievable stuff

There is an uncensored VDO deep in twatter showing burnt body pieces.
To be fair, VDO has many disclaimers and warnings about its gruesome content.
I wish I'd never looked at it now

Probably a fairly standard "joke" on almost every Malaysia Air flight in recent months.

Which takes on a completely different meaning when the plan actually does disappear.

Didn't they also shoot down an Iranian plane in the gulf...late 70s early 80s? Anyway, America's history of shooting down passenger jets is irrelevant here.

Reports that Putin flew similar route as MH17, presidential airport says 'hasn't overflown Ukraine for long time'

Malaysian Airlines MH17 plane was travelling almost the same route as Russia’s President Vladimir Putin’s jet shortly before the crash that killed 295, Interfax news agency reports citing sources.

LIVE UPDATES:Malaysia Airlines MH17 plane crash in Ukraine

“I can say that Putin’s plane and the Malaysian Boeing intersected at the same point and the same echelon. That was close to Warsaw on 330-m echelon at the height of 10,100 meters. The presidential jet was there at 16:21 Moscow time and the Malaysian aircraft - 15:44 Moscow time,” a source told the news agency on condition of anonymity.

"The contours of the aircrafts are similar, linear dimensions are also very similar, as for the coloring, at a quite remote distance they are almost identical", the source added.

At the same time, there have been reports contradicting Intefax’s report that was the first and the only media source to publish the news, saying that Presidential plane was not flying over Ukraine at the same time.

As a source told Gazeta.ru online news portal, Putin’s plane does take off from Vnukovo-3 [the terminal that accepts business jets], but the president does not fly over the conflict-gripped neighboring country.

“Putin has only one jet – Board One, he does not fly other planes. This plane always takes off from Vnukovo-3, but the presidential plane have not been flying over Ukraine for a while,” the source at Vnukovo-3 terminal said.

President Putin was on his way from Brazil, where he attended the BRICS summit, to Moscow.

Flight MH17 crashed in Ukraine on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpar, and was carrying 295 people.

The passenger Boeing-777 was expected to enter Russian airspace at 5:20pm local time, but never did, a Russian aviation industry source was cited by Reuters.

“The plane crashed 60km away from the border, the plane had an emergency beacon,” ITAR-TASS cited its source.

@Silva I don't even care anymore. I just don't think things in the press should be censored as its to people over 18 and there are warnings before viewing the pictures. Just let people decide what they want to see.

so essentially Putin was no where near the spot this happened in so a complete none story that has nothing to do with the post you quoted.

RT are absolutely ridiculously and unashamedly biased. Was watching their channel for a while but it's disgusting how they're trying to spin everything Russia's way.

Its Russian state propaganda. Probably worse than FoxNews.

It could be that it was just something went wrong with the plane. And what was a civilian plane doing flying over a war zone.

They wouldn't be "divided" if the origin was from within russia, you can be certain of that.
The crash site was 60km from the Russian boarder and the BUK system everyone is reporting that was used has a maximum range of 50km so it´s unlikeley it was fired from within Russia.

The start of WW3 people, Putin is the most dangerous man on this world since Hitler and the west seem to be doing nothing about it

Very worrying....

No surprise, USA do the same with there drone attacks etc... RT & Al-Jazeera are ideal for my viewpoint, against USA.

RIP to those who all died.

US official: very unlikely Ukrainians shot down MH 17, "The only groups we are looking at are the separatists or the Russians."

Saw on CNN World, a reporter saying some Kremlin owned Russian media reporting it as a missed attack on Putin's plane as crazy as it sounds. No one dispels it, so Russian people to an extent get fed that info.

How true can that be ?

This is supposed to be the captured phone call between the separatists that the Ukrainian security service released

0:20: A: Just now, just now, "Minera" group downed an airplane. It fell on Yenakivo.

0:26: B: Pilots? Where are the pilots?

0:29: A: We're going now to search and take photos of the wreckage.

0:33: B: How long ago?

0:34: A: About 30 minutes.

[At this point, video skips ahead to a different conversation, apparently some time later and between two different people]

0:44: C: Yes, "Major"

0:45: D: From Chernuhino, they downed the plane.

0:48: C: Who?

0:49: C: From Chernuhino post, cossacks that are stationed at Chernukino.

0:56: C: The plane broke up in mid-air, near Petropavlosk mine. First body. Found first body. Civilian.

1:12: D: So what's going on?

1:15: C: Stupid civilian plane.

1:18: D: Understood. Are there many people?

1:20: C: Wreckage falling right in peoples yards.

1:24: D: What model?

1:26: C: I haven't figured it out yet. Haven't yet gotten to the main debris. I'm still where the first bodies fell.

1:31: C: There's wreckage of internal containers, seats, bodies.

1:35: D: Understood. Are there any weapons?

1:37: C: Nothing at all. Civilian stuff, medical supplies, towels, toilet paper.

1:43: D: Any documents?

1:45: C: Yes. Indonesian student. From Thompson university.

[Another cut, several more people]

1:52: About that plane shot down near Snezhnovo Torez. It turned out to be a passenger plane. Fell near Grabovo, there's lots of bodies, women and children. Right now the cossacks are inspecting it.

2:03: On TV they are saying AN-26, Ukrainian transport, but are saying it's labeled Malaysian Airlines.

2:12: What was it doing in Ukrainian territory?

2:16: Maybe it was transporting spies. Who knows. It's war.

Apparently this is not true, he doesn't fly over Ukraine any more.

Reddit think they meant to hit ""An-26"

I know that's not true info. But i meant how true is that absolute false and incorrect/exaggerated info is fed to the Russian people undisputed ? How bad is that situation ?

That was the point being made by the reporter.

Don't you think it's very disrespectful to the dead and their families? This incident only happened in the last few hours. I'm sure there are families that don't know their loved ones are on the plane. Can you imagine if the first they know about it is when they see their body on the news/internet?

Such a joke a paper.

Seconded.

2:12: What was it doing in Ukrainian territory?

Dont understand the question- was this in any way official that no commercial airlines etc are allowed to enter Ukrainian airspace?! The guy is acting all surprised as that there should be a passenger airplane flying over Ukraine in 12 km altitude.

The bigger issue, at least immediately, with the filming of the scene up close with apparently visible passports, etc, is that it destroys the integrity of the crash site/crime scene. Lots of people screwing around it, particularly those who may be sympathetic to the perpetrators, will make it even more difficult to conclusively determine who exactly shot the plane down. The separatists are in control of the crash site, which is also very bad. International investigators aren't going to be able to get to the scene and evaluate it if the most likely perpetrators are the ones in possession of the area.

Apparently there was an air space restriction in the area up to 32k feet.
