Manchester City vs. Manchester United

They avoided a slaughter, but they won't take any positives away from this, just less negatives than they might have otherwise. This was their first trophy in a lifetime, and they've already lost it!

They did very well despite playing 10v11 for very long. I don't see how that's not a positive for them.

What kind of shit is this? When the hell did they outplay us? They got lucky on two occasions. A no-foul on Evra lead to a freekick to bring it back to 3-1, and a defensive error lead to 3-2. Apart from that they only threatened us in the last minute of the game. We were controlling the game in the second half, and were denied a clear penalty at 3-1. Also had more shots on their goal.

Outplayed us my a$$.

Well said Daniel my boy. We we definitely the better team.

Dont know why but even thought we won , I feel a bit deflated.

Just the usual feeling that we made it hard for ourselves. We were looking at HT like we'd come out and score a few more in the second half to hand them their asses on a plate.

I said at HT that the thing we had to beware from them was an early goal, which happened. All it takes then is to get a second goal and it's squeaky bum time which it was for the last half hour.

Still, it's over. We've won and we've dumped them out of the only trophy they've won in 35 years.

We really do have some pathetic fans, can't believe what I'm reading.

We won but we were rubbish, playing with 11 against 10 for almost 80 minutes and it didnt show.

And bringing Scholes back is making people laugh at us all over

SAF never wanted him to leave, would they have laughed if we'd signed him to an extension last summer?

He took to retirement about as well as SAF, you think any other team in the league wouldn't want Paul Scholes on their team right now?

Devlish, the three ghosts the visited you at Christmas didn't do the trick I see.

We may not like it but that's the truth. 10 men City and we had to rely on a penalty to win

SAF saying that he thought we made shitty look better than they were.

Well said.

Some of this stuff is shocking. Some people not feeling great despite the fact we won. We've just beaten top of the league. Every single fan should be over the moon.

Thought Scholes did quite well everything considering, he only misplaced a couple of passes. I reckon he'll probably struggle 11 vs 11 though.

I think we have to give him 3 games to get up to speed before we decide. But we don't need him to be first choice. If he's not a better option with Gibson then SAF won't pick him. Even if he's perhaps possibly just a touch sentimental when it comes to Scholes.

Sir Alex also saying that United haven't gained anything in the title race from today. Yup.

So Fergie's post match interview was completely wrong?

Someone with sense today. Your spot on. True it was nervy but we won.

fecking hell. This Mancini interview is absolute cringe.

ITV's post-game coverage is laughable stuff really. A loss is a win with them clearly.

He's fizzing!

That's the funniest interview ever

I don't think anyone expected a clean sheet. And I certainly give credit to City for playing so well with 10 men. With 11 v 11 they had more of the ball, but we were more dangerous.

And their two goals didn't come from their brilliant attacking, the free kick wasn't a foul for me, and the 2nd was a mistake and a bad save, hardly City tearing us apart.

But City are a fine team and gets lots of possession. Kudos to them, and their money. I'm sure they'll get someone new and exciting in this summer as well, best of luck.

and rightly so. We should have killed the game off and prevented all that panic.

I fully agreed with him too. We did nothing to their momentum for the rest of the season. Yes we went through but that second half was poor, regardless if we should have got a penalty or not.

Legend.

City are no longer City...

its all the Sheik's money....

Love him or hate him...he speaks his mind and dosen't give a feck who he pisses off.....great pundit, better than the usual arse lickers they have
