Holy shit. He's actually playing a midfield 3 instead of a 4-2-3-1.
Glad that we're going with a three man midfield (unless Fellaini is in at no.10). Shame that we don't actually have three good midfielders but that's a problem for another time. It'll be interesting to see how they shape up, how far forward Fellaini will be and whether Mata and Welbeck will be pushed out wide.
As for Kagawa not starting, is anyone really surprised? He looks set to be sold in the summer, unfortunately.
Please don't be Cleverley on the right! I remember Fergie experimenting with that one a few times.
If he isn't on Yaya like a bad rash, I certainly wouldn't understand why we opted for three natural CMs.Fellaini will more than likely operate as a box to box midfielder, but I can see him getting further forward than both Cleverley and Carrick, who will probably take up roles similar to the Arsenal game.
Cleverley over Giggs/Kagawa?
David Moyes always makes at least one decision per lineup that baffles me.

Get out.
Conversely he could be playing Fellaini as a big lumpy no.10
Yaya gave Fellaini the run around last time, I think we may see Carrick and Cleverley as deep defensive midfielders again, protecting the defence. If he isn't on Yaya like a bad rash, I certainly wouldn't understand why we opted for three natural CMs.
Neither.
It's a 4-3-3/4-5-1 I'd imagine.
Nah. Clev will drift wide right to cover Mata when Mata goes walkies inside. When we're under attack though it'll be a firm midfield 3.
huh?

It could easily be:
De GeaBut I think / hope it will be:
Rafael Ferdinand Jones Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Mata Fellaini Welbeck
Rooney
De Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Jones Evra
Cleverley Carrick Fellaini
Mata Rooney Welbeck
I would laugh if he went for this though:
De Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Jones Evra
Mata Carrick Fellaini Cleverley
Rooney
Welbeck
