Manchester United v Portsmouth

I wouldn't rest Rooney or Nani. They've both been in lethal form lately. You don't rest your best players.

I still think we'll play 4-4-3, its the first time in months that we've played fluid total football. You don't change a winning formula, you want to build the momentum.

Yeah, but didn't they change 4-4-2 after beating Hull 4-0?

That's a step on from Fergietime ;)

But we were winning before changing to 4-3-3 and changed it then.

VDS
Rafael-Vidic-Evans-Evra
Valencia-Carrick-Anderson-Nani
Rooney-Berbatov

for me.

I only think 4-3-3 works in certain situations (usually in difficult games)

This would be a 4-4-2 game for me

You took everything I said bizzarely out of context, I'm entitled to do the same to you. I don't know why you can't tell the difference between "I believe" and "It wouldn't surprise me". You are encapable of reading anything without putting your own spin on it. If it takes half a page or an entire thread for me to tell you that so be it.

Who do you think you are mate?

Are you nuts? christ almighty you sound like a complete loon. :wenger:

Get back to bed.

Given that this is a homegame, if Obertan, Diouf, Gibson, Kuszczak, Fabio and Neville start tomorrow, I wouldn't be surprised.

People see Portsmouth as a potential banana skin, and that may be the case, but the only thing which would surprise me to be honest would be for Fergie to pick his strongest lineup avaliable, so to speak.

That would be suicide. One or two minor changes is plenty

So basically a side of: Kuszczak, Neville, Vidic, Evans, Fabio, Valencia or Nani, Carrick, Gibson, Obertan, Diouf and either Rooney or Berbatov would be hammered by Portsmouth, without the slimest chance of winning!

I'm not saying Fergie will go that extreme ... or that the likes of Obertan, Fabio or Gibson would play, but if he gives any of them a chance, this might be their last chance before the end of the season to play.

He'll probably bring in Vidic and Berbatov ... maybe Giggs or Valencia, and Anderson that's just one short of the special five changes.
Five changes are possible.

I hope we dont make too many changes to the team; we shouldn't underestimate anyone (look what happened against Leeds FFS!)

Play our strongest 11 from the start then make changes if all going well

Would love for Rooney to add to his goal tally today, would also love to see Diouf get some gametime.

I agree but SAF usually does the opposite and we have to bring on the big hitters to try and rescue or win the game. I suppose he has to try and give the non regulars a start when he can but it seldom works out

I remember people freaking out last week when Park made the teamsheet, imagine the reaction if Gary Neville made the teamsheet!!! :wenger:

We are in great form, let Rooney and Nani start and keep their form going, take them off after 50 mins if you wanna rest them

Alot would not be happy. I would rather Gary called it a day rather than be looked on that way. We owe him alot but sadly IMHO he struggles now

4 strikers in the squad ahead of giggs/scholes ...

attack attack attack ?

That team can do the job. Neville is a weak link, bt it's Portsmouth to be fair.

4 - 0

Rest? There isnt a game in midweek. If you are afraid they get injured them wrap them in cottom for the rest of the season.
