Cleverley has burnt out in the second half of the season and his performances have steadily declined, that's why he isn't playing.

With Ferdinand and Vidic rested. It makes sense to have some real experience in the team on a day where the occasion could get the better of the players. People continue to underestimate experience.

Yes. It's no surprise at all that Cleverley has been rested for weeks. It's his first full season and he has looked tired of late so.
SAF is going with Giggs for experience and because he's obviously still a quality player. Cleverly being left out is surprising, but I'm sure he'll get minutes.
Giggs wasn't MOTM in either Madrid game. Welbeck was in the first by a distance. Giggs started having a really good run when we decided to have him drifting out onto the left, where he's much more effective. Putting Giggs alongside Carrick means that not only does Rooney have to drop even deeper more often, but it also gives Carrick a bigger work load.
People like you come into this thread and act like anybody going against the decision to play Giggs are immature and morons or people who are hating on Giggs. I'm not hating on Giggs what so ever. If he lines up out on the left, great. If he comes out and has a stormer, fantastic. But more often than not, we've employed him in the center and it's hindered our gameplay much more than what it would with a natural central midfielder in there.

No he hasn't. It's like some weird RedCaf myth. His last truly imperious display in the middle was against Chelsea in the CL semi-final 2 years ago.
He consistently has the lowest pass-completion rate, provides nothing defensively and gives the ball away in dangerous situations. I don't blame the man, he's a legend, but he's 40 years old, being stuck in the position that requires constant running next to a relatively immobile Michael Carrick.
Is there some appearances record Fergie is helping him with that I don't know about?

Giggs has actually looked decent out on the left this season, but I can't think of 1 match when he was great in the centre. He certainly wasn't against Madrid when we unable to keep any possession or control the tempo whatsoever.
