Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Giggs has to come off at start.

I reckon he will take Scholes after 10 mins.

aAd then bring on Welbeck on the 82nd min..

Seems like Ferdinand has decided to do all the defending. 1 tackle, 1 interception and 7 clearances to Evans 0 tackles, 0 interceptions and 1 clearance.

Evans probably scored their first goal though. Don't take that away from him.

Well, that half was a bit of a surprise. 2 - 0 up and we deserve it.

However, we've been here before and things have gone pete tong for Spurs in the 2nd half, whether due to terrible ref. decisions or great attacking play from Man. Utd, or a combination of both.

We'll soon find out if history will repeat itself.

I think you are been very polite here, every United fan on here could see it coming

How we can play Giggs Scholes and Carrick in the team at the same time baffles me they have no mobility. One maybe 2 at the same time but all 3 is mental.

Rooney on for Giggs.

I think this is the time we won't come back.

It would take a minor miracle.

Probably mean we switch back to a more orthodox 4-4-2. However, with Nani as our only fit winger that might be a problem. Definately not a big fan of Welbeck on the wing.

If anyone should be given the hairdryer, its the old man himself. Absolutely stubborn stuff.

Fergie to sit the team down, and then stand in front of a mirror and all out rage at himself for fifteen minutes? That would probably put the fear of god in the players though, so it might actually work.

I think he cannot start matches of this magnitude anymore.Scratch that, I don't think, I affirm it with certainty.
SAF has made a truly terrible decision to include in the starting 11

I'm pretty much agreeing, except in regard for the need for rotation and the presence of injury.

Cleverley, Anderson and Scholes all have some question marks around them, they may miss games through injury or the need for rest, or from playing poorly. At that point, I'd rather put Giggs out than Powell or a reserve player.

Rooney for Giggs is a start, still doesn't solve our problem in CM though. We're soft as butter there and Spurs will run through it with ease in the second half.

Neither do I. Scholes does have his uses, he is still one of the best passer about, but not in against pacey sides like this. Giggs doesn't offer much at all.

Yes Scholes is still a master passer, and he's good to come on when we need to calm things down.

But we need to move forward here, we can't keep relying on 38 year olds. Please play Anderson and Cleverley!
