I never have seen a player less rated than Fellaini in the caf

You, people without faith.

Some time would be a couple of weeks, ie, the international break..

Howard Kendall echoes my thoughts perfectly

That’s the verdict of Everton legend Howard Kendall, who watched SDHpmidfielder Fellaini for five years at Goodison.
Former Everton boss David Moyes was determined to be reunited with the Belgium international at Old Trafford.
But Kendall – the most successful manager in Everton’s history, said of the Fellaini deal: “Moyes wanted him and got him but I don’t think he’ll improve Manchester United.
“To start with, where do you play him? David talks about his versatility – he can play in the centre of midfield, off the striker or in a holding role in front of the back four.
“But if you are buying a player, you put him where you want him to play and I haven’t got a clue what his best position is.
“I appreciate the lad. He’s got presence because of his size and he’s dangerous at set-pieces.
“But he floats – he plays it easy. He’s too safe with the ball for me – he doesn’t hurt the opposition with a pass.
“I would put that deal down as a good sale by Everton at that money. And when I look at the players who came in, it was without a doubt a good window for Everton.”

According to the caf he knows feck all.

I read that before, bit only few games into the season proved that these words are spot on.

read that Fellaini could be out for 2-3 months according to Belgium doctor.
Some will be glad, I think it is dreadful for him and United, he needs game time to settle down to out way of playing, this will just set him back even further.

Nah I think it's only a few weeks.

I don't care what it makes me, but I don't think I've ever been happy that a 'United player' is injured; this guarantees that Moyes cannot play him, which is only a good thing for United. Time for Cleverley to ensure he's not straight back in the side when he's fit.

Terrible news, if true. He needs lots of games to settle down before we'll see the best of him, whatever that ends up being.

How can you be out for 3 months with a wrist injury? Surely it's a matter of weeks, not months.

Whilst probably true, I don't think that time is now. This supposedly easy run of games we need to get through, get some points and then reintroduce him. It's just too risky to play him alongside Carrick right now when we desperately need wins.

It's baffling how anybody can see this as anything but a bad thing. We're short in his position as it is and it's now going to take even longer for him to adapt.

Awful news, poor guy.

i hope his elbow won't be affected by this injury.

:wenger::wenger:. Take a bow.

It's such a stupid line of reasoning. What happens if Carrick and Cleverly, hell even Anderson pick up injuries? Is he going to be happy that Fellaini can't cover for them because he's now injured?

In that instance, no, obviously, but I'd rather take my chances with Cleverley than know that Fellaini would be starting above him.

United's Facebook has confirmed the injury, they've also described him as a striker. As you can imagine the vast majority of the reactions are positive and welcoming of the news.

I'd rather have two players fit so if one gets injured I could play the other.

I hope they put in a bionic elbow, like iron man, or some whose elbow got blown off by a landmine.

or replace his wrist with another bionic elbow, he'd be the first player since kevin davies to be able to elbow three people at once.

if it's just his wrist can he not play with a cast on like Cantona

Seems to attract the best and the brightest, that Facebook page.

Bad news. Whether people like it or not he's now - at least - a part of the rotation. We're back to square one in terms of CM options for a longish spell.

Ah sure at last we have Phil Jones in that case..

It makes you a daft twat

Unbelievable that anyone thinks it is a good thing that he is injured

Pathetic.

Brutal stuff there.

Is "wrist injury" some kind of euphemism?

It's the United FB page, tbf. They're as much fans of the club as people who occasionally play as us in FIFA are.

Looks like Anderson will get one more chance then to prove he's not completely useless then, it's like we're parenting a meth head.

Whilst it's never nice to see a United player injured, do people not see where the "glad he's injured" brigade are coming from? Can't say I agree with it, but I understand it. He seems to be a key player in Moyes's plans, playing every game even though he's been awful in every single one. You could argue his presence makes us worse as a team. If his being injured is the only way Moyes won't pick him, then it's hardly surprising some people are glad he's injured.

No he hasn't.

Pretty much where I'm at. Sure, it does harm the squad, but the first team is stronger for his absence. Similarly with Rio, I wouldn't be glad he was injured, but I'd take the positive that it guaranteed he wouldn't be in the side.

We genuinely look weaker when Fellaini partners Carrick than when Cleverley does. I feel this much is obvious. Is Moyes going to pay nearly £28m for a player to leave him on the bench? Not only will it make our first XI weaker, it hinders Cleverley's development.

In the first half the midfield was bypassed, but Cleverley still put his shift in, still tried to link play. Fellaini is static. You can't have two static central midfielders.

No he hasn't.

You're right, he missed the League Cup game against Liverpool, when we played our second string. Given that Moyes dropped all of his key players for that game to give the rest of the squad a chance to play, that actually reinforces my point that Moyes sees him as one of his most important players. Every other game he could have played in, he did.
