For those of you doubting Fellaini's signing and ability...go fecking stick it, coz I've got definitive proof that he's going to prove to be a real bargain at that price...

...which midfielder are we going to buy this (last) summer - Herrera or Fellaini???
Fellaini, premier league proven and provides presence/strength/height which we lack. You only have to look at how he dominated us last year in their home game, breathtaking. We couldn't get the ball off him and he caused danger and their team to dominate us in the process.

Exhilarating player.

The professor has spoken.

When thinking of all the players we had injured (Rooney, RVP, Jones, Nani, Young), I completely forgot about Fellaini.

Yeah, I genuinely find it hard to think of a time when I or any fans felt so underwhelmed, disappointed and generally just negative about a 30million transfer, ever. Liverpool fans with Andy Carroll at least thought he could be good with them considering he had a good half season before and was young, but this is very much of a similar standard (not quite as bad though, with him being a bit better and a bit cheaper). You look at all the stuff on what our fans want looking forward, the squad rebuilding stuff, future or current starting or best XI's, you don't ever see his name mentioned. He's got a long way to go, that's for sure, and he can't really get much worse then what he's shown.

Can't wait till he's fit and starts silencing the critics.

Yeah me too, but people don't realise he's never been fully fit since he joined. Give him a chance and don't just shoot him down in the first instance.

Oh Kevin, you are truly the professor of football.

Glad that he's back in training. Hopefully he can turn it all around and play without the baggage of the huge transfer fee on his shoulders.

Fellaini is back in training doing work with the ball with the physios but can't train with other players right now until wrist is strong enough to withstand contact according to the Daily Mail.

Getting him fit will be like a new new signing.

Seriously though im realy hoping he proves himself in the second half of the season.

As people have said, hopefully he turns things around and makes an impression as the season progresses. There will always be debates regarding his best role in the side, but we will just have to wait and see how things turn out.

Hopefully he will start to prove a few people wrong.

I genuinely think that he's a lot better than he's shown at United so far. At least he can now put that injury behind him and hopefully kick on. With Ando gone, I'd assume he's 3rd choice.

Don't say that, I had hopes for this transfer window and it results in Fellaini moving up the pecking order :(

I'd have Fellaini in the squad over Anderson any day.
I would have Jones, Giggs, Carrick, Rooney maybe even Cleverley or Kagawa in the middle of the park before Fellaini.

Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to give Fellaini time and hope he does well. But we have to face it, he isn't a Manchester United player.

And you know that after what? 3-4 games?

I don't really LIKE Fellaini but the hate here has been ridiculous. I wonder if it would be better if we had gone for only him rather than Cesc/Herrera if it would have been this bad.

It might have been worse, with us not showing any ambition. This way at least we know that we want a top class midfielder even if it was unrealistic. Anyways he's been one of my least favourite players over the past few years, I've just disliked him, him coming to united didn't change that. He's been in the premier league since 2006 or 2007 I think, so I think most of us can form an opinion on him that doesn't include his time at united. All his strengths come when the ball is in the air, either from a long ball or a cross. Hardly what you want Ina. Central midfielder at united now, is it?

I don't hate him, I see the positives in the move and am not one of the people judging him on his displays so far. I am willing to give him the time he deserves. However, everyone is allowed to form an opinion of him as a player and over the years, I have seen nothing that makes me say, wow, he is a great player.

He's in a relationship with Lara Binet, as far as I know.
wow we should've signed her instead of the big oaf.

I pretty much doubt it's from 3-4 games. It's not like he hadn't been in the Prem for 5 years before that. It's pretty much clear as day for everyone that has watched him over the years that in the position that we need him to play he wouldn't fit better than Young on the wing.

When he settles in he may have some games here and there (like Young) but overall he hasn't got the quality to be a starter in CM for United.

He's a squad player that we really overpaid, much like Young. It's not hatred it's realism really.

Even though I don't think he's anything great, I'm very happy to see him back fit. We need the options.

It doesn't help that the man who should know him like a wanker knows the palm of his hand, doesn't actually look like he knows what to do with him. Is he a holding player, is he joining in further up, or both or neither?

If Fergie had signed him you'd think it was reasonable the manager had time to work out his best position but I thought the advantage of having Moyes with him was that he'd know where and how to use him straight away, but apparently not.

Willing to give him till middle of next season. I don't think he was this bad for Everton.

Also having a wrist injury wouldn't have helped him.

He was never that good, he just stood out a lot more because he was in and around the box casuing trouble. In terms of ability on the ball in the middle of the park, he is the same.

Only their first or second best player in practically every season he had there, both in central midfield and as an attacking one.

So being good for Everton means he is good enough for United?
