Wayne Rooney needs to become more of a man than more of a footballer. At the moment he's a second rate man but a 1st rate footballer.
However we've seen this before.Players at their peak self destructing; great and talented players. Rooney isn't patch on Best or Gascoigne at their best but they imploded with the world at their feet. The problem is, Fergie has been pretty civilised in all this to be fair to him. He looked genuinely upset to be talking about it and that is after knowing for months Rooney wanted out. He'll be at City next season, can't see where else he could go.
