PARK-A true unsung hero

Over him starting ahead of Nani...

Fantastic performance by him; did everything he could, and it was brilliant.

Incredible engine, after being out for so long he never stopped harassing Chelsea and also covered Evra's ass. Fantastic player and will definitely start in the second leg

Once Park steps out onto the pitch you can be sure he'll give it the full 110% & thats exactly what he did again last night, the type of player that shows what Manchester Utd is all about.

Was terrible today.

Tackle -> Get ball back -> Fall over. Repeat.

He was poor but our attacking third players lacked time and service because City set up to go for the 0-0.

Luckily for them they nicked a goal after a series of errors from us and it took us being a man down and throwing everything forward for them to make any other chance.

I'm talking about when he was in the midfield trio, giving away the ball all the time. If he does that against Barcelona we'll get caned.

Absolute shit today. He just seemed to run with the ball until he got tackled time and time again. How Valencia was dragged off and he stayed on the pitch I don't know.

Probably would have been taken off for Owen had we not been down to 10 men.

I did not particularly see the point in playing him down the middle for this once to be honest. City don't really have anyone that makes the play from deep that Park would have to shut down.

Most of City's play from that area is either sideways to the fullback and up to Silva or Johnson, or sideways/fowards to Toure who bulldozes forward.

Valencia look nackered today, but he is coming back from a serious injury.

FFS I was Parks biggest critic up until recently but the guy was one of the very few who turned up today and gave 100% and tried to drive forward. Instead of blaming Park look of the lack of support he got when he was going forward with the ball. Anyone would struggle with the size of Citeh's midfield so I have no problem with him being muscled of the ball occasionally. If you want to blame United players look somewhere else.

Ran around like a headless chicken today.

I've noticed without Rooney in the midfield Park just looks half the player he can be.

Everytime Park has looked really good it's been with Rooney also having a great game.

Just didn't have a good touch at critical points today and kept running into people.

Blaming Park is just dumb. What did City create when we had 11?

They dominated us when we had 11. Park, Nani kept giving the ball away and Toure overran the midfield.

He was crap today, looked knackered and understandably so considering the amount of great work he did mid-week.

Was his usual hustling bustling self but just lacks the footballing brain as an attacking player. Wonderful pass for Berbatov's first chance but nothing else he did in an attacking role came off.

Wasn't great, but I think the game against Chelsea had him tired already.

When your chasing a game he suddenly becomes utterly fecking useless. I'd love someone to point out a noteworthy contribution to us when he's been on the field and we've been trailing (Genuine question - I'm sure there are examples!) because I just feel once he's hounded himself it's pointless him even being there and I recall feeling this quite often with him.

His footballing brain is one of his strongest assets in my opinion, it's just his all round technique which lets him down. He's one of our most intelligent players, he puts himself in some great positions and is very good at short passing. The problem is is that he can't ever really whip in a dangerous ball or get any sort of power on his shots (although he's improved a lot this season)

He scored two in the last 10 minutes against Wolves.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. I dunno, maybe his brain and his feet just take a while to communicate.

The Woves game at OT earlier this season.

Going back a bit I distinctly remember he was key in our equaliser at the Riverside in the 07/08 run in.

I just wanna understand why he keeps falling over and over again.Studs problem or just not enough physical strength ?

Physical strength I'd imagine. He's a workhorse, nothing more.

I like Park, I really do...but at 0-1 it's really him and not nani/Valencia who needs to be coming off.

We're Man United - there's no difference between 0-1 down and 1-1. It's the same approach either way so to say that contributions in securing a winner from a drawing position are less meaningful in some way that getting an equaliser from a drawing position is wrong (especially considering that a winner gets us two points and an equaliser one point that we'd have had otherwise)

Point is when we go behind the opposition push, nip, hurry and hustle the united players and you need your most skillful players that have that bit extra to be able to cope with that. Park done alright with it but you never for one minute thought he'd do anything to get United back in the game.
