the agent has just controlled Pogba to the maximum.

Personally the boy has been made a fool of and wont ever sucseed in this way. I feel sorry for him.

I never get posts like these.

Pogba isnt some 5yr old kid whose parents are taking his career decisions for him. I hate agents as much as the next guy but they simply cannot be blamed for everything while players get it easy.

Pogba is old enough to know whats right for him. He knows the players he's competing with at United and Juve themselves are no small club, he'l know the players they have. So he is in great position to know where he'l get more opportunities.

If he still chooses them and goes along with his agent, he has to take the blame, cant just say the agent fooled him.

Difficult to gauge the agent's influence, since we don't know Pogba or his agent, and have never been privy to a single conversation between them.

Its one thing saying his agent influenced him and other to solely lay the blame on him for misleading Pogba as if he's some 5yr old kid who cant think for himself.

So is it decided now or not? I mean really what are they waiting for the season is over and Pogba isn't playing any tournament which could increase his market value anymore is he?

Would be nice if they could announce some official decision on the matter soon.

One thing is for certain, the directors and people at Juventus who have talked about him certainly dont rate him as highly as our staff and fans. This isnt the first time I've seen talk of him going straight on loan, when Juventus were signing that young midfielder from pescara or whoever something was said about getting Pogba to cover his position while he's loaned out. Hardly a good spot there.

Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal were a big part of why Juventus did so well this season. If Pogba isnt deemed ready to get more games than Ji Sung Park in central midfield, then he certainly isnt going to get much of a chance at a club who really only seem interested in him because he's free.

I mean honestly, if we were going in for a player on a free who we rated as highly as we rate Pogba I'm sure we wouldnt be sending ultimatums and talking about loaning him out before we even got him to sign for us.

Not that great.

SAF said he wasn't ready to be loaned out last summer, and he would probably get a loan this coming season. So it sounds like we both rate him about the same.

Did he really say that he'll be shipped out on loan this season? I remember Fergie saying that Pogba is "definitely a first team player" ?

Yep but I think for Juventus who have been in the wilderness since they were found out to be cheats, like a number of Italian teams...I think they are trying to make a statement. Who knows how much they've seen of Pogba? You'd like to think he's reject them but oh well.

I was able to find it thanks to google:

Paul Pogba won’t leave Manchester United on loan this season, Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed, with the Red Devils manager insisting that Pogba needs to settle into England before moving clubs, even on a temporary basis.

Pogba appeared set to leave for Burnley on a loan deal, and while Ferguson has hinted that a move might be possible for next season, he believes that keeping the French midfielder at Old Trafford is important for his development.

Ferguson argued that while he would normally send a young player of Pogba’s potential out on loan, in this particular case he needs to remain at United for at least another season.

"It's more difficult to loan a boy of 18 who's come from France. We prefer to keep him with us until we find he's mature enough to possibly go on loan,” he said.

“Maybe next year that could be an option but we're definitely expecting him this season to stay with Manchester United."

United face Leeds on Tuesday night in the Carling Cup, in what will no doubt be a fiery encounter for the rival sides.

Of course that was before we were fighting to keep him, so of course we talked up his chances a bit more. SAF does like to talk up his young prospects, remember Ben "Will be England's Keeper for Next 15 Years" Foster?

No harm in a little talking up of chances.

I think Pogba's another example of why we need to start considering using a 3 man midfield more often. We've got a fantastic bunch of central midfielders coming through at the moment, but it's far too risky to afford them time next to just the one midfielder. If we'd have played Pogba in the same midfield as Carrick and Scholes as the more attacking player, we could've afforded him game time despite his lack of positional sense.

There's still a voice inside me that's thinking "feck him", though. He hasn't always looked like he's tried his absolute hardest for us, in my opinion.

Wholly unprofessional of juventus throughout in my eyes, making such announcements whilst he is still contracted to ourselves and still on our payroll. If he goes it will be a big loss but if he decides to leave utd then it's only downhill.

Because nobody can have a career outside of Old Trafford.

Just like when Tevez was coming out and talking when he was at united and when he went to city everyone was talking about how it's all his agent's fault and tevez is so naive and so on. How'd that work out? Was it tevez or was it his agent?

I still reckon plenty of it was the agent maneuvering Tevez. Not saying the player is not in fault, at the end of the day he is in charge, but with Tevez being caveman-smart, it wasn't very hard.

This smacks of De Gea last summer, everyone knew he's signed for us after the Fergie interview but it had to be denied for a while until the transfer window opened.

Pogba is gone lads, might aswell close this thread.

I used to love the guy and would watch the reserves just too watch him play; i loved his flairy style and thought he would bring a fresh innovation to our midfield.

Now i feel like hes a cheating girlfriend and would rather shit in his handbag than watch him play again.

Hears the deal, Agents are cnuts in the eyes of the football fan, but their job is to get their client paid as much as possible, by whatever means possible, from whomever they can.

Money is their primary motivation, if Stoke was offering 150k a week then as far as they are concerned Stoke is the best club in the world.

The player has all the power, the agent just gives them options.

Pogba isn't a United fan, we can't expect him to have the same loyalties that we do.

For the sakes of staying, workin hard for 6 months, getting into the team and becoming a world reknown superstar, he could be getting paid the big bucks, but instead he takes the easy way out to get paid a little bit more by juventus.

I think that is mainly why utd fans are pissed off - not because hes leaving for more money, but the fact he would of got it in the future, he just had to show he was worth it. I guess some people arent cracked out for that.

He could shatter both his legs tomorrow and never play again, it's hard to say to someone, especially a younger guy, just wait it'll come, when someone is offering more now.

Not really. We're not using him to fill in while our first choice new midfielder is out on loan for a season like Juventus want to do with the new midfielder coming from pescara (Verrati). Think of it like us signing Nick Powell this summer to fill in while Pogba goes out on loan for a season. Then Pogba comes back, we say thanks to Powell for filling in for a season. Now get to the back of the line.

If Pogba goes to Juventus as he looks like he will, it cannot be for footballing reasons unless he just rates Serie A as a better league for himself, for some reason.

I don't get that 'we may regret it in the future', 'such a shame' and so on. I don't give one flying feck about him, he decides to go, then fair enough, but I surely won't lose any sleep over this. Even if he becomes a fecking Zidane in the future, which I highly, highly doubt.

We did what we could in the matter, he's been given a little bit of playing time in the first team and it was going to be only beginning, I'm sure Fergie thought he would be involved more this upcoming season but he decided to go, simples. Couldn't care less.

I dont think it's a case of "we will regret this in the future" rather then to hope that he'll regret it in the future. We have obviously tried to get him to sign a contract, so the only thing we might regret is not offering even more money, but I doubt anyone in Manchester United would lose some sleep over that. It's well known that we reward the youngsters who make an effort and make a name for themselves.

Its just frustrating because we clearly need something extra in midfield, and he clearly has something a bit different to most young midfielders out there now. In fact if he was playing for Aston Villa or something and we wanted him we'd be made to pay a significant amount of money to take him.

In a perfect world he'd be a year or two ahead in his development so that Sir Alex had more trust in him and would have played him more this season.

This is will be regretted imo. This makes the club look weak.

How does this make the club look weak? By not giving in to ridiculous demands by an agent of a player who've hardly proven himself? I am a huge Pogba-fan and would like nothing but to see him succeed at this club, but if anything this is making the club look stronger. No matter the talent a player might show in the reserves, he will not be rewarded until he's proven himself at the very top. If the player doesnt accept the challenge, they are free to move on and earn their money elsewhere as proven by Morrison and Pogba. By giving into the demands of these players, we would've looked weak. Now we're sending out a signal to the rest of our youngsters that they got to keep fighting to get their rewards, not just sit back and expect to get a raise just because another club is in for you.
