Shameless Musketeer
Said it before, his style bores me and if its not working, they're fecked. RM's style is so much better imo
not relevant to this game, but why did he turn one of the best rightbacks in the world into a defensive midfielder?

Just to put my mind at rest, can we 100% rule him out of taking over at United?
Nah, not for me.Because he's now one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. And for Pep midfielder>any other position.
Yeah but it is basically dropping Martinez for Rafinha which is a big downgrade IMO.Because he's now one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. And for Pep midfielder>any other position.

People are such drama queens. It's his first season trying to implement a new play style on a side not used to it, yet they've walked the league and made the UCL final. No one ever retains the UCL and they've lost top a phenomenal team with the two most expensive players in world football in it and with quality across the board and in their manager.
Sh*t happens teams lose to other great teams. It doesn't mean tiki taka is dead or that Pep's done as a manager.
Got it badly wrong over the two legs. That's all, let's not say he's destroyed anything yet for feck sake.
There's plenty at the moment. Schweinsteiger, Busquets, Alonso, Fernandinho, de Rossi, Javi Martinez, Pirlo, Toure, Gerrard even. I'm sure there's more I'm missing. Not sure I could name that many better than him.

Nah let's all be knee jerkers and act like a guy who's won 5 league titles in 6 years of management doesn't know what he's doing.
I can't believe how naively he's set up his team. Everyone knew RM has the pace to really hurt Bayern yet they decided to play a really high line fron the beginning with all that tiki taka bullshit. #pepout

He's obviously not bad there but hardly world class, having played only played a season there.
Just edited him in before your reply.Guess we'll disagree then, I wouldn't include half those names. Though I would add Martinez to the list.

It looks a lot like van Gaal reloaded, I'm not convinced yet.
I know that there are major differences to van Gaal's ideas. I only said it looks like back then, because more often than not we have possession for possession's sake and not for creating chances.
A few things are incredibly annoying, for example the way Guardiola tries to use our fullbacks. We play with inversed wingers who cut inside and interchange positions all the time, yet our fullbacks move inside as well and act like central midfielders instead of adding width. I have no clue how that could ever work.
Very true. He's never had a Plan B, period.Guardiola still doesn't seem to have an effective plan b for games like this.
See that's just it, he's trying to implement a new system to a team that was so dominant last year and made it worse, why? Real has scored 3 goals in this half and we haven't seen even a whisper of a plan B, he's a superb coach but the very best managers reinvent themselves as well as their team. Tika taka isn't as dominant as it once worse, as demonstrated by the way this very team demolished his old team in his last season and the way Madrid are doing it again.People are such drama queens.
