I see actually think that Maicon is very underated defensively. I would be supprised if the Da silva's become better than him defensively at any point in their careers.
I've seen Dani Alves put in a great defensive performance too, when asked to just sit back and defend. Its not about that. When they are playing their normal game getting forward, they always leave huge gaps and make mistakes that allow the opposition chances. Being that we've been so good with our defending in recent times I'll back our coaching staff to get the twins to end up with exactly the right balance of being a real threat coming forward but also being more solid defensively.
