Fair enough, i can understand that but i didn't watch it to see what the console looked like. I watched it to see what it could do. What it looks like is neither here nor there to me and i don't think it's all that much of an issue for most people.
Yeah I agree joking aside I was quite impressed with some of the features. The streaming and cloud gaming sounds interesting and Im happy Sony are teaming up with Blizzard. Well worth getting a Vita now if anybody is getting a PS4 with the ability to stream games to it.

Blizzard announcing Diablo 3 on the PS4 was hilarious as well.
Watchdogs is the only thing that looked good/fun enough to tempt me to buy the console. Everything else looks like PS3 tech with a bit of a spit polish. I'd be surprised if the XBox720's launch isn't more impressive than this; Sony shot their load too early.

The cloud thing sounds incredible but I doubt it's as good as it sounds.

I still wonder why Sony bothered to organise this Press Conference. Wouldn't having this after E3, 1 month before the launch of the PS4, more impactful? That's where they can discuss launch date, price and show-off polished launch games.
They've brought back the original PS3 controller.
It matters to me what it looks like. The size, shape and price of the PS4 is of far more interest to me than some generic, sub-pixar cgAnimated demo. Is it the size of a house with an air con unit on the back? or have they managed to cram what seems to be a powerful system, into a manageable sized box.
My best guess would be a pre-emptive strike. Maybe Microsoft are about to unveil theirs soon.
Hardware and philosophy-wise the PS4 hits the right spots for gamers.
8GB DDR5 RAM, decent souped up x86 processor and 2TF gfx card. Controller is what the rumours stated.

I'm not sure EA and Activision would want to present at the same event. They don't like each other very much.
I suspect EA has nothing groundbreaking to show for next-gen at the moment.
It's EA, they would probably re release all their fifas on ps4 before even thinking about how to make fifa 14 a great game.
Think that would be for e3. However, I don't expect anything groundbreaking from their sports titles this year. The user base will still mostly be on 360/ps3 so that's where their focus will be. Next gen consoles will be testing grounds for their development team as they shift over to next gen for next year's iterations.
Tech guys are really excited about the ps4. Epic/UnrealEngine3-4 guy saying "ps3 was decent but ps4 is really great"
