It was a bad result, but I thought we looked very good going forward in the second half.

The last 30 minutes of the game were the best we've played in a while, Memphis made a difference when he came on and Martial looked a threat, but we just don't get enough from the other 2 in the attacking 4 and we don't have a clinical finisher in the entire squad.

Goddammit I'm getting sick of staying up late for this shit.

Way more entertaining than usual. We are creating more, but where we were scoring all our meagre chances early on, now we're missing at least 3 good ones a game. Still, this many goalless draws is unacceptable.

Carrick's forward passing made a noticeable difference.

When performances and results like this have become the norm, it's a sign that something isn't working.

LVG isn't the answer if we actually want to win shit.

West Ham struck the post twice and had a one-on-one!

We were not unlucky, it was a tight game and another mediocre performance to our catalogue.
Ofcourse we weren't unlucky. We finished terribly.
Definitely did not deserve to win. They hit the post twice and missed a sitter. West Ham easily created the clearer chances.

We were the better team overall and created many more chances than them. But yeah, they came closest. But no one can watch that and claim they were the better team.

To put it succinctly. We created for more chances. They created the best ones.

The lack of urgency from Utd in the last ten mins and complete ease with which West Ham continually dispossessed our players was staggering.
Cue the LVG excuse-reel.

If Martial had his shooting boots on we would have won. Mata was yet again completely useless and needs to be replaced asap.

This time, we took more risk and should have scored yes, you cannot "directly" blame LVG. But overall, we are going nowhere with this. Let him work until the summer, spend half of the transfer budget for Luis compensation money and for getting Guardiola. Young players, young coach, attacking football. Thats it.

Five 0-0's in nine games is unacceptable. Playing boring is fine if you win, but we're not even doing that. How has this club turned in to this? If there's a less entertaining team to watch anywhere in world football I'd be surprised.

Newcastle, unless you're a masochist.

Said it many times. You cant win the league with the likes of fellaini upfront. Its embarrassing.

We actually played much better with the triumvate of Martial, Memphis and Lingaard as expected. Although that was against a tiring west ham side.

Unlucky not to have scored. Martial created a sitter for Fellaini and also missed one himself. Then again, west ham should have scored too.

Honestly, if this continues I really do think we should bring in Pep this summer. LVG has laid some good foundations for us but he seems to have created another problem for himself. A lack of any semblance of an attack.

At this rate, we will not win any trophies and that should be grounds for him to go. Especially if a top manager like Pep Guardiola is available.

But hey, at least we weren't so bad that we wished Rooney played.

Forward players aren't good enough. Whatever style we play, if you can't finish or play a final pass you aren't going to score.

We started playing 80 minutes into the game, and even then the handbrake was visibly on with some players. Its boring, its over cautious, and (above all) its not getting results.

If you want to win games you need to create lots of chances, because nobody scores every single chance. Nobody. Not Messi, not Ronaldo. The best forwards in the world have a conversion rate of one goal for every three shots. If you are only creating chances at the end of matches you won't get goals. If you don't get goals you don't win. Van Gaal does not seem to understand that.

I'm dreading Tuesday night. We're about to exit the Champions League with a whimper, rather than a bang. Woodward said nothing like Olympiakos away would ever happen again. Hope he's got his camera phone with him in Germany.

It was a much better performance than what we've seen from us lately and we should have won. The booing at the final whistle was pathetic.

Entertaining game for a 0-0. Both sides severely lacking that cutting edge though. Wasn't in danger of falling asleep at all, so that's a plus.

Memphis looked decent when he came on. At least with Martial, Memphis, Lingard we have pace up front. Considering other results, another opportunity missed but also Wham have been to all the other top teams and won, so decent result in that respect.

We really need to finish any chances midweek though or we're into the EL :(

Wasn't that bad. Played some good football today I thought, unlucky not to win it in the 2nd half

Yeah no need for Rooney.. Some of the people here are just hopeless.

A point more than City so it's an OK result.. It's always been between them and us. Now roll on Tuesday...

He dug his own grave.

Starting the season with Rooney and two teenagers as strikers.

Predictable stuff happening now, and he'll lose his job, rightly so.

Only ourselves to blame, Martial, Fellaini and Mata should all have scored in the 2nd half and we've had more than that.

5 in 9???! Wow.

Not good enough. We're going to look back at this season as a complete wasted opportunity.
Fcukin aye.... it's a shame because we aren't that far off. Few tweaks and a bit more pace and we'd be getting 3 points instead of 1 in these games...

Spot on.

Ridiculous. It's pathetic that this sort of match is almost exactly what we expected. This is not a teething problem with the 'philosophy', the problem is the fecking 'philosophy'.

The players themselves need to look at themselves too. Wasteful in the final third.

The result I'll grant you but "this sort of match"... Did you watch it?

As if we're progressing in the Champions League
