Premier League Gameweek 2

Said it before but a fit DCL/Good striker, Onana and another midfielder completely changes this side.

i've no idea. More pissed off with injury time. Or 'ref just makes it up time' as I call it.

Been trying to figure out what Gerrard's style of play etc is at Villa and all I can come up with is that he's trying to turn them into a really shit version of Atletico Madrid. Just irritating to watch.

Delle Alli has regressed so much that I'm surprised he doesn't play for us.

I've come around to the majority view on this board that Lampard is absolutely useless.

This is back to the 90's stuff. A relegation battle every season. I've turned 40 and I just don't have it in me any more.

I think it’s far too early to judge. We have had two tough opening fixtures and have been beaten by a goal in each and had good chances in both to score. We have had our main striker out in each and haven’t got a replacement yet + been hit with rubbish defensive and midfield injuries before, during and after games so far. If it is still this ‘poor’ when we have fit striker and functional midfield I could not disagree but it’s extremely harsh to be judging him as such already. It’s not like we are getting soundly beaten. In both games a draw would have been a fair result.

This game should be a pretty good gauge of where Arsenal are at this season. Is all this talk of a promising, young rebuild all that it's cracked up to be and will they actually push for top 4? Still think it will be a struggle for them. 5th best team on paper for me.

Onana is shit. OMG he is terrible. Trust me, I am African and watch a lot of African football. He is bad collecting balls from free kicks and corner, not a great shot stopper. We complain about Martinez being short for a CB but you want us to buy a short keeper who isn't even that good.

 Onana the Belgian central midfielder they just signed from Lille, not the ex-Ajax goalkeeper.

Playing in triangles City. This is what ETH trying to implement I believe.

How likely are those things, though? You've spent a lot already.

Likely. Gana is all but done from our side, he just needs to sort out PSG stuff but we are already looking at others if that doesn’t go ahead. We are also keeping tabs on Broja and Adams to bring in on loan or loan to buy deals in terms of strikers in the Prem and/or looking at others outside of it.

We will definitely be bringing in another midfielder and striker.
