Premier League Gameweek 2

Chelsea couldn't find all the free space against Everton because our transition is far too slow.. All it takes is a couple of players moving forward quickly and no sideways/backwards passes. Easy :0)
We couldn’t find space because they played a deep line and defended really well. They’re much more open today, a lot of room to counter them.

Having Iwobi in the middle is just asking for trouble
He was our best player last week and one of the best players today again. We don’t have many match fit CMs available so it’s a necessity rather than what we would want.

Nah, that's a bit like the people saying that United lost because they had a 5'9" centre back. Nothing to do with it really, and he's been one of their brighter players. Can see him having a bit of a Joelinton type transformation into a useful, hardworking central player if anything.

Good point. And I suppose it’s better than having Tom Davies in there, who is a bit useless

Yeah, Davies has been a first team player for them since 2016 and I don't think anybody has actually worked out what he's for yet.

Tarkowski and Coady are excellent signings on loans/frees. Vinagre is squad depth and McNeil is for potential as much as it is for his current ability. The McNeil one is the only ? Mark for me so far.
I was probably being harsh on Tarkowski and Coady. Both are useful, though neither is anything more than solid. McNeil I really don't rate from the admittedly little I've seen. He looks pretty out of his depth but it's early days.

On another note, it's a pretty damning comment on Alli that Gordon starts ahead of him on that position.

Having no striker to play from makes McNeil usage much harder, he is much better if there's a vocal point in the middle to play with.

Ramsey short-circuiting Gordon's brain with that turn.

Injuries are piling up. This never used to happen as frequently before. It's the vaccines, I tell you.

Everyone should go topless
Yeah who wouldn't want to see this ?

Someone tell Stevie Me that biting your nails like a nine year old detracts somewhat from the suave tactician image he seems desperate to cultivate.

Very hard to see Everton staying up. They'll be relying on Bournemouth, Forest and Southampton absolutely falling apart to survive imo. Already think Fulham are better than them.

We'll see in later kick-offs but both teams seem to struggle with that heat atm.

We need to change to a 4-3-3 ASAP with Iwobi as the ‘CAM’ and Onana / Gana or another as the two behind. It also will rely on a striker. Get those two positions sorted and it will be much easier for us to form a decent side.

They spent 40m on him and yet they are not starting him. Has Alli been really that terrible for Everton or is he returning from some kind of injury?
