Weird. They really created feck all while we hit the post and Reina made a few good saves. On top of that we played only in 2nd gear. Yet they think they did well?

My. Standards have dropped there.

I think we played within ourselves but had they equalised (unlikely as they were poor themselves) we'd have upped the tempo and gone on to score again.

If Hodgson was still in charge they'd now be slagging Roy off for his shot tactics etc.

That's all right. On here Sam.G has declared that KD has "earned the right" to lose every game until May.

Can 20 losses be a win?

they seem proud of their display..... even with a loss that shows how low they have fallen.

I have never felt so up after a defeat to the cheats, outplayed them 11v11 and gave as good as we got when down to 10, not only did we outplay them we also outsung them and for the first time in ages we looked like a collective unit, how Berbatov got MOTM astounds me, he did nothing of note other than the dive, kudos for ITV for celebrating the art of diving, kids all across the land can now perfect their "slight touch i'm going down like i've been shot" routine as apparently it's all part of the modern game, feck that no wonder people are turning away from the so called beautiful game.

Why didnt Rafael get a red card for his 2 footed stamp on meireles? If gerrard is sent off for 2 feet off the ground then surely Rafael had to go?

RAWK Mongorers said:
Look at it in this way, we gave the mancs a run with just 10 men and a recent change of manager. We only lost because of a bent ref and a diving c*nt. Now we can focus on the league.

RAWK Mongorers said:
Oh yes, and Kelly did a fantastic job nullifying Sir Ryan of Giggs!

RAWK Mongorers said:
The happiest i've felt after a defeat to the mancs. Not that I don't give a shit, of course I do, but under Roy we would have lost this match and lost it without even putting up a fight. We would have played negative, dull defensive football and got rolled over. The players would have had the heads down and Mr Alex Ferguson would be opening a bottle of whisky in his office celebrating the demise of his enemies, gleefully rubbing his hands together at the thought of Hodgson continuing to drag us down.

RAWK Mongorers said:
I'm gutted we didn't get the result because we thoroughly deserved it, at least a draw anyway. If Roy had still been here and we'd lost in the manner to which I'd become accustomed I wouldn't even be feeling anything right now, just numbness and apathy. To be honest I'm just glad to feel something again, even if it is disappointment and a burning sense of injustice against Howard fecking Webb.

Beats me too. They played shit football as they have all season and, even when we were down to ten men, Reina wasn't exactly overworked

They're just fortunate that the league is worse than it's ever been this season with no really top quality teams - none of them has the remotest chance in the CL once they play anyone decent - so they're hanging on while playing pretty crap stuff

And of course Man Utd always seem to benefit from performances from officials, like today, far more than any other team

And as for Berbatov being MOTM?? I'll give him 5.9 for his dive but otherwise he was anonymous. He was certainly nowhere near the best player on the pitch

Just what the feck were they watching? Kelly kept Giggs quiet? His 37 year old legs were squirting out piss all over his face.

How were they bettering us at any point in the game?

Honestly, two completely different matches were watched.

It is amazing fantasy land stuff. I bet they'd ban anyone who pointed out they played exactly the same shite way they've played all year.

But then you might not have heard, Daglish has "earned the right" to lose EVERY game between now and May.

The majority think Webb lost them the game and feel Gerarrd's dismissal was harsh as Rafael made a two footed challenge on Meireles. :confused:

They all convince each other that these things actually happened, like some sort of cult.

It's a bit worrying. At no point in the game did we look like we were hitting top form, or form, or even fecking 'f'. We cruised through thanks to an early goal, and never felt like we had to go out of our way, it didn't even feel like we might concede, thanks to Liverpool's inability to do...anything but defend in their half.

We were poor in the sense that we didn't inject any effort into the match, we stayed in first or second gear, fluctuating between the two, while Liverpool went through the whole reel of emotions, and had nothing to show for it. I couldn't really see many positives from their side, apart from a couple defenders, a couple players who didn't look as shit as before, Reina with his 5 saveathon and a less-humiliating defeat, which seems to be the big talking point.

There's all this talk about how they fought for their performance, how they tried to come back and kept their heads high? When? What?! They struggled from start to finish, while we coasted through and barely broke a sweat. If it was another match, I would be a bit reproachful for our play, but at the end of the day, we beat Liverpool without doing basically anything, and they seem to see this as some sort of mega-positive, which for me, is the definition of retarded.

What?! :lol:

I hope he does, I wonder how Roy would be thought of then.

They are a small team now Hectic. Keeping it down to only 1-0 is considered a victory and a battling display.

Just like say Stoke did well to battle to a 2-1 defeat on Tuesday.

One of the commentators said "there are cases for 8 penalties aside (wtf anyway)" but it made me think, did they even have 8 chances? Did they even get in our box 8 times?

Did they even turn up?!

Was that a game of football or was it Giggs and his mates Vs some spazzy bunch?

did they even have 8 chances? Did they even get in our box 8 times?

From the BBC:

Possession

* Man Utd 58%
* Liverpool 42%

Attempts on target

* Man Utd 10
* Liverpool 5

Attempts off target

* Man Utd 6
* Liverpool 8

Corners

* Man Utd 11
* Liverpool 3

Fouls

* Man Utd 11
* Liverpool 7

True.

Considering their league position I'd say they've done well today. Only lost by one goal, put in a fight, had one goalscoring opportunity - that's okay. Oh, and King Kenny is back, what could be more important :lol:

ANOTHER GEM.

I mean, was Gerrard's tackle as bad as De Jong's one in the summer?

In a game of such magnitude, you don't make decisions based on 50-50. It must be clear cut.

Webb you are an utter c*nt!

Webb 1 Liverpool 0

I said it earlier, but Liverpool fans aren't interested in fair refereeing.

They want a ref who lets their defenders kick us inside the box, and lets their midfielders go in two-footed on our players' legs.

They want a biased ref basically, to make up for the fact they're inferior to us.

still they harp on about bent this and bent that,

Not kneejerk, been thinking this for, i dont know .. about 14 years.

Anyway, if i owned LFC i would simply refuse to let my team play United every year. Sure they get 6 free points, big deal.
Sky loosing their big cash-cow of a match, twice, every year might mean the league will actually have to be flushed of corruption.

Torres was awful. Miereles was awful. Maxi, Lucas and Kuyt were... well... awful.

Reina kept them in it and the young lad at RB did well. Gerrard was their best player until he stupidly got himself sent off. A 2 footer in the middle of the pitch which he didn't need to make.

We played like a team who knew we didn't have to be at our best to beat them. Had G
Hodgson still been manager he'd be getting pelters for the exact same performance. However as it's Kenny they'll be convincing themselves otherwise.

The delusion I'm hearing is astonishing. They created precisely feck-all. Smashed it from distance a few times

Although I have to disagree with the above, I thought Lucas was pretty good. I can't really tell the difference between him and Mascherano.

They must of watched a differant match to most of us , they looked like the same shit Liverpool ,but RAWK this differant.

You know what, we lost. But the transformation of effort, passion and pride of this side with just a few hours with kenny is massive.

We were always going to tire int he second half, Lucas looked dead on his feet around 87 mins. On another day, that free kick goes in and we take them back to anfield. These things happen.

I'm fecking proud of the lads who played all the 90 today. Massive, massive pride. That was more like it and i'm actually feeling massively positive about the rest of the season.

At the end of the day, it's Howard Webb 1, us 0. Again

This is brilliant, I'm dying of laughter here:

Outplayed them. Everyone did their bit. Total improvement on and off the ball.

Unfortunately nothing can stop Man Utd from playing 12 men at home and Mr Webb performed as brilliantly as ever.

Sour taste in my mouth over the 'decisions' but I'm not bothered about losing because I saw Liverpool Football Club playing out on that field today.

europe league it is then

If that's how King Kenny can change the team after only a few hours with them I can't wait until he's had them on the training pitch for a couple of weeks.

Keep you head up lads we are finally going in the right direction.

10 men most of the match and they only scored by a dodgy pen. I would say we are great

God I feel like crying listening to Kenny. What a man. He's fecking brilliant.

Well Dalglish has just said it wasn't a pen or a sending off, so that's good enough.

It's amazing how highly they rate Kelly's performance. He got arse-raped by Giggsy throughout the game and yet they think he's done some kind of wonders in this game...

What? I don't even have a sister.
