My heart beats again. I always knew it would. Rafa Benitez ressusitated me for a few years and even then I hung in there at times - that man should not be under-estimated for his role in where Kenny is right now.
Kenny to me is Liverpool FC. He knows us. We know him. But there was a moment today when I knew that this was the right man for us right now. The after match interview when he was so honest and defending of his team, humble yet disgruntled all in one and righty so.
'So every player that leaves the ground is genna got sent off?'
And there it was. I was a teenager again and I was watching a dismissive Kenny Dalglish put a reporter in his place.
The clenched fists.
The cold handshake with 'Mr Alex Ferguson'
The anguished look with every decision that went against us or whenever a pass was misplaced.
He was there again as one of us.
I would walk a million miles to see us play under this man again and he will take care of unfinished business - my heart is pounding with pride and anticipation tonight.
Long live the king.
Really? He seemed to be more confused than anguished for the entire match.
All this after a 1-0 defeat. Imagine the outpouring of joy when they actually manage to secure a 0-0 hard fought draw.
