Well, if that's the case that he is a handkerchief, I'm going to do a Max Bygraves here as say that I wanna tell you a story.
I'll try to keep it short and not go into details, but my father has never been interested in football, ever! His father was, and was a Liverpool supporter - they lived around half way between both cities. My mother obviously wasn't interested in football, but her father was, and so was his father who had followed United since it was Newton Heath, they came from central Manchester/Salford. Now, as it happens, I wasn't actually brought up by my parents, who lived in that place half way between the two - I was brought up in Salford by my mothers parents. I only used to go there at weekends. However, whenever it was my birthday, or whenever it was Christmas, my father's father would always slyly give me a present that had some connection to Liverpool FC. Now, my mother and her father had several arguments over it, but yes, I have been made to wear a Liverpool FC branded piece of clothing in my time, because obviously, you don't want to upset your granddad when you go to see him, or rather you are told that you have to wear it. Same shit with things that my grandmother used to knit for me and give me as presents and made me as itchy as feck whenever I wore them. It's a terrible experience being pulled this way and that, but it's not always that difficult for people to find themselves in such a position.
That said however, I've only ever been to Anfield twice, in the away end, and I've been in the Stretford end over 100 times, and thankfully to Sultan, in the North Stand once.
