What sad lives these poor simpletons live. Genuinely crying out for an opposition player to be injured is pathetic beyond belief.

Stopped reading that Guardian article after the bit about Rooney's goal and whether it should have been disallowed or not. Which was at the end.

Basically, I read the whole article.

Champions League Fixtures (2nd Leg) 15th-16th March - if anyone's arsed

RAWK in classic mode tonight. Almost 1,000 comments mainly on our game and then comments that we're "obsessed" singing YSB to Heinze.

The usual snipes about the quality of our team and the atmosphere at OT, because we know those two things are fecking brilliant at their club. Several pages of hatred for Paul Scholes, delight at Rafael's injury and even *shock horror* moaning about the referee, whom Fergie paid £10k to apparently. Several comments when Inter went 2-1 down about how it wouldn't have happened under Rafa, they were all gutted when they won 3-2.

Even one or two hilarious Munich jokes based around the other tie.

you can sense the fear in those scousers if we go on and win the 19th title.

One of the sticks they beat us with is that we are an average side with crap players. Yet they are 18 points behind us. What does it make them?

On the left side of the bell curve, as for their fans they dont even get on the curve

We paid the ref???? Are you having a fecking laugh????

I think his family name must have been Deschamps judging by the decisions made last night

you cant polish a turd

too much deadweight

The ref is shite.

One of the worst performances ive seen us put in 10 years. Im in shock at what i saw.

Too many average players. That's all there is to it - You remove one or two of our classier footballers and it's a big struggle. We've had several years of mostly poor, odd signings from previous managers and the scouting staff. Even with the limited funds available at times, the players bought have been just entirely unremarkable. I'll give Meireles a pass, despite struggling for consistency.

SEASON OFFICIALLY OVER. It's just nothing to play for except pride, worst season in 350 years.

final tickets application cancelled :(

I almost fell sorry for that last fella.
Almost...

Awful performance tonight, Carroll done well in the air but there was no one on the same wavelength to read his flick ons. Pedestrian support from the midfield and the usually consistent Kuyt had a stinker tonight, Braga did not seem phased at all despite the crowds best attempts to stir some fight in this braindead Liverpool lineup.

Short term Kenny effect is beginning to wear off.

He can get them fired up against Chelsea and United but not West Ham and Braga.

Expect a timid caving in when they play Arsenal next month too.

You watch, the Red Sawks yanks will start to distance themselves from Spanked-face between now and the summer. Bring back Rafa

I wouldn't write Kenny off yet, he needs to be given time to make his influence felt across the pitch rather than just up front. Some wide players with pace and creativity will be much needed this summer and I reckon he'll do a better job than Rafa of finding some.

Don't worry, that's coming no matter what... did you see the way they played against Chelsea this time last season and Anfield? Number 19 and the dippers will bend over for anyone who can stop United. Sick.

Will they go to Liverpool though?

There are five teams in England alone who get to pick first.

True but I wouldn't underestimate the guys magnetism. It might be a long hard road for them, but buying the right players instead of buying for the sake of it as was seen in previous regimes is of paramount importance to their near future. If he can convince young talented footballers that he can turn things around and make them buy into his vision, I can see their fortunes changing.

Are you seriously saying that all they need is 2 wingers and next year is their year?

 - you must be taking the piss.

Reina - Johnson Skrtel Agger Aurelio - Gerrard Meireles Winger1 Winger2 - Carroll Suarez

That's a decent lineup, they should do better than they have done this season. But they do need two wingers and they do need more adequate backup on the bench (and preferably players better than some of those, so these could be pushed down to backup players).

They won't be in title contention anytime soon.
