Reading v Man Utd (FA Cup Replay)

Plenty of defensive cover there!

O'Shea can drop back into any position in the back 4 if needed. Plus, since this is a cup tie - when we make changes - if tends to be offensive, since the team put out today does not require to be rested, when (and if) the game is won.

Although O'Shea could always move back into the back four, and if push came to show, Richardson could play left back.

So we can't beat them easily tonight because we didn't beat them easily at home?:wenger:

Different day,different game..

You never heard of ''home advantage'', it's supposed to be easier to beat a team on your own ground rather than away from home.
Which we did not do. :wenger:

That's fine

Reading are playing their second string too. If ours isn't good enough to beat theirs, then so be it.

I'm with the Boss on this one - take no chances with the league.

Agreed.

Having said that, it's kind of sad that the FA Cup is demoted and is already nothing more than a consolation prize for the winners, similar to the League Cup.

It's hardly Reading's second string to be fair. Apart from Hahnemann and Lita no obvious absentees.

Reading

  • 32 Federici
  • 23 De la Cruz
  • 06 Gunnarsson
  • 22 Bikey
  • 16 Ingimarsson
  • 03 Shorey
  • 19 Ki-Hyeon
  • 04 Sidwell
  • 11 Oster
  • 12 Kitson
  • 09 Doyle
Substitutes

  • 01 Hahnemann,
  • 07 Little,
  • 08 Lita,
  • 10 Hunt,
  • 18 Sodje

this is a tough one with liverpool on sat and lille on next wed but i think that a weaker United side will pull it out 2-0

We should still be a good match for them and the longer we can keep things tight the better it will be for us when we unleash the hellfire subs bench.Saying that the team still has class and wouldnt surprise me if they pulled it off ooh er.

How many of them would get in our XI?

Saha will go down with a knock after 23 mins im predicting

Blasphemy!

Such talk, at such a time, don't jinx us now.

Him and Ole leading the line, will not be our weakness, if we have one, it will lie further back.

Wes and Heinze have got to try and replicate what Gary and Patrice have been doing for us this season down the flanks, really supporting our attacks. An early goal could be everything.

A lot of responsibility on Park's shoulders tonight, he being the most reliable and able man in that midfield, he's in great form at the minute which will help him.

If it wasn't for the Liverpool game this saturday I would be dissapointed with this line up. I just hope all these guys are as motivated about this task as they should be. Almost everyone except for Ferdinand, VDS and more or less Saha has to show what they've got if they want any minutes this weekend.

Shocking midfield.

Midfield?! WHAT midfield!?

I withdraw any hesitation of the word 'Foolish'.

This is STUPIDITY!

Prioritise is one thing... this lineup is rediculous. I know United has been ribbed about not having a midfield, but I'd not heard of a side choosing not to field a midfield.

Not really suprised by the line-up and I think its a perfect one.Its a chance for the squad players and I hope they take it well.We had to field our squad players because of the important games coming up.

O'Shea and Fletcher - that should be fun.

Hoofball football here it comes.

I reckon this'll finish 2-1 to Reading :(

we dont really have a choice Bob...with the Liverpool and Lille matches coming up...

at least SAF still has Ronaldo and Rooney on the bench...
