FA Cup | Tue, 27 Feb 07, 20:05 | Madejski Stadium

I like making these threads :D

I can see the team being.....

GK: Kuszczak

RB: Neville
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Brown
LB: Heinze

RM: Park
CM: Fletcher
CM: Carrick
LM: Ronaldo

CF: Rooney
CF: Saha

1-2 Utd, Saha finally getting back on the goal sheet.

I likes me that team.

Although, I think it might be Brown at RB again and Sly partnering Rio. I wish we had Evans so that Rio could rest for jizzgarglers.

Very tough selection for this. If Rio is up for it, let him play I guess? This is the best I can come up with for now:

PIG

?Brown/O'Shea? ?Rio/Brown? Silvestre Heinze

Park Fletcher Carrick Richie

Saha Ole

Subs: VDS, ?O'Shea/Rio?, Scholes, Ronaldo, Rooney

Carrick would need to show up in massive fashion, yet still retain energy for scrotumnibblers.

Hopefully, that midfield can hold Reading off for an hour and maybe even thread some decent passes to Saha. Then we can bring Ronaldo, Rooney and Scholes on for the last twenty minutes and finish them off.

Ideally, Saha scores a few and we can rest Carrick, wouldn't bet on it though.

Keep the treble hopes alive lads!

Pretty much agree with that line-up

Carrick needs a break and Ronaldo too.

Gaz------Vidic-----Heinze--------Sly
Park----Fletch---O'shea------Rooney
------Smith----------Saha----------

Tricky 1-2 : Saha & Rooney

this is gonna be a tough game, coppels gonna pick his best team and were not, saf has to pick the correct team for the game but i see us nicking it by the odd goal 2-1 united
rooney
saha

We got the tuesday date - so no reason for not putting a strong team out. We don't want to lose it and blow a chance of a trophy.

Tough game - we desperately need to rest Scholes and Carrick whose form has been shite for the past 2-3 weeks.

Bt can a duo of Fetcher and O'Shea do the job?

Hinze in for evra, PIG in for VDS, Sly in for Vidic.

No.

I would rather see Sheasy-Scholes against pubichairchewers than see Sheasy-Fletcher play together, ever, even if it is in the dark behind some barn.

Saha should start. Doubt if Ronnie takes any part in this.

Coppell will most definately pick his Cup team seeing it is a mid-week game and they just lost to Middlesbrough.

RM: Park
CM: Fletcher
CM: O' Shea
LM: Richardson

I don't think that midfield will do the trick. Either carrick or scholes needs to be there IMO.

we are gonna play some reserves... we have to concentrate on Premiership and L'pool is a big game... they are not involved in cups so they will be rested for that match... i will go to Reading with some rested players just Rooney and Ronaldo can start and take them off if we have a good advantadge... we have to kill Reading quickly

I think we need to field a strong team to guarantee we go through, id hate to get knocked out of the FA cup at this stage.

PIG

Neville
Rio
Vidic
Heinze (he deserves to get more playing time)

Ronaldo
Fletcher
Scholes
Giggs

Rooney
Saha

Subs: VDS, Oshea, Brown, Park, Larsson.

2-1 to us, ronaldo and rooney with the goals.

Rooney in the 38th minute
couldn't you be a bit more specific please
right foot, left foot, head, frre kick, volley ????

agree. some team players seem to drop a notch in their performances after two-game in a row.

the squad players have to prove themselves in this game.

Larsson has played two games in four days time and he's 35 years old. He needs a rest, but will he get a break when he only have 3 games left for United? Don't think so to be honest. I think Fergie will start with Henrik on tuesday(Ole or Wayne will replace him after 60-70 minutes or so). On saturday Henrik will prob. start on the bench and will play the last 20-25 minutes or so, he and Ole are supersubs. Saha-Rooney upfront. Would like to have Neville rested again vs Reading. VDS should stay in Manchester as well and focus on the liverpool game.
In games like this I would have wanted us to have Hargreaves. If we will rest Scholes and Carrick, our central midfield will be O'Shea-Fletcher :/
Rio is our best defender and he should play..

..................Kuszczak....................
Brown - Ferdinand - Silvestre - Heinze
Fletcher - O'Shea - Scholes - J.S.Park
.............Larsson - Saha..................

Subs; Heaton - Richardson - Ronaldo - Rooney - Solskjaer

I don't want a Fletcher-O'Shea central midfield.... Scholes will get a 2 weeks break from matches when we have the international games coming up. After Bolton the 17th of March, Scholes will not play until 31st of March. That rest will be important for him.
I wish Giggs would have quit his national team as well. He will be very tired after 2 important games for Wales. April will be a very tough month for us, we will play maybe 8 or 9 games in that month if we still are in the CL and FA-Cup.

------VDS------------
Wes-Rio-Silves-Heinze
Park-O'Shea-Fletch-Ronaldo
---Larsson--Smith---

Although it's a very poor team, I'd rest as many first teamers as we can, save them for Liverpool. The Liverpool game is far more important and players like Carrick, Scholes or Giggs looked a bit tired

Why not? Ill be hugely surprised if he doesn't start

Even with a treble still a possibility there still has to be some prioritisation and the FA Cup has got to come last - next wkends game against Liverpool is enormous and then weve got a must win match against Lille 4 days later. How many of you would trade get knocked out of the FA Cup for beating Liverpool?!?! I think against Reading SAF has every right to gamble again - anyway it gives fringe players the chance to prove themselves so.....

GK - Kuszczak

LB - Heinze
RB - Neville
CB - Silv
CB - Brown

LM - Richardson
RM - Park
CM - Fletch
CM - OShea

CF - Saha
CF - Ole

Dont think Reading are gonna play a full strength side so it should be good enough, FFS a lot of the above players would walk into most EPL sides! Most prob have a strong bench though to be used in emergency!

------------------------Kuszczak----------------------
O'Shea----------Brown-------------Silvestre-------Heinze
Park---------Fletcher--------------Eagles------Richardson
--------------Solskjaer--------------Smith--------------

Bench: VDS, Lee, Mullan, Evans, Dong

If Alex field this squad even if we lose I would not be dessapointed

I would rest Giggs and Scholes, probably put them on the bench. Otherwise the best we have.

we should DEFINITELY start our first choice centre backs. If we do that we are very hard to score past!

I'd rest Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo (bench), Rooney (bench), Neville, Evra, no need to rest VDS.

----------- VDS ------------

Brown - Rio ------ Vidic - Heinze

Fletcher - Carrick - Sheasy - Park

------- Saha ----- Ole ----------

Lacks creativity a bit, but very solid defensively. Nick it by a goal!

I think we have to play Carrick, even if he could do w/ a rest. We just cant afford not too.

I make that 7 players rested for Scouseshite.

To bring on Larsson & Ronaldo if we are struggling
This lineup will rest VDS, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Ronaldo, Giggs, Larsson

He may be rested because we have a far more important game against the 'pool coming up. He did play a full 90 mins against fulham so I would not play him, he may suffer from burnout come the 'pool and lille games.
