Sadio Mane

A move for him in Jan? He can be a great asset and we will need more depth in 2nd half of season to fight on multiple fronts. Doubt Southampton will let him go mid season though unless it is crazy fee.

We'll see how he goes for the rest of the season. Has more than enough talent but didn't look nearly ready for a top club last year. I'd be pretty impressed if he's improved enough in such a short period of time to maintain the sort of consistently excellent form we'd be looking for from a potential signing.

Go all out for the lad in January. Stick him on the wing and move Mata inside. Quality player.

You can see why Van Gaal wanted him. He's all over the Chelsea back 4 when he doesnt have the ball. His work rate is unreal. He's great.

People freaked out when we were linked with him ahead of Pedro.

Now it looks like not only is he the better player right now, but he's got upside potential due to his age.

Anyway, wouldn't be the first time we went back for a player. He'll be ours.

Based on this, doesn't seem so outrageous to prefer him over Pedro. I know, one match and all that.

And to think I was ridiculed by some on here when I said Mane > Pedro

His price will have reached £40 million in January but I don't think they will sell then.

I was all for him when we apparently put in a bid for him, and I still am. Constant menace, who doesn't stop running. He wouldn't ne a risk neither, as he'a proven in the EPL. Can't see Southampton selling him in Jan, though.

To be fair, I did say he was very good after watching a few of his YouTube clips.

This all day.. would have great strength, pace, dribbling, shooting and movement from a top 3 of Memphis, Mane & Martial.

I don't care about African Nations League and whatever - simply sign him....ASAP

Southampton won't sell him in January. Atleast, when we move in for him next summer, we would have eliminated every atom of doubt surrounding him....

.... well not every.

Seems like he can play anywhere across the front four as well. He's no Griezmann but he'd certainly be a good young player that would add something strong to the side.

How much impact has the African Nations cup even had on club's like City and Chelsea, in the past?

Said at the time that he'd be an exciting signing. Memphis Martial Mane

I think if we'd have got him, or even Pedro we would not have bought Martial.

I'd take him in a heartbeat, we need his directness, skill and finishing ability in our squad.

Not much tbh, teams have always managed to keep the same results before and after the tournament.
It's just a nice lazy assertion for pundits to make - 'oh, City are losing Yaya next month, they're bound to drop points'.

Never really noticed him before, but after watching him today its clear to me he wont be a Southampton player much longer.

Hopefully we can strike a deal and take him next season.
