And to think half of you lot want Anderson out of here? :D

That guy needs to be kept in the squad if not just to keep everyone else happy.

Well you'd imagine that the guy who is dating a pornstar would get along quite well with the guy who parties all the time.

That's quite an accurate description from what i've seen. We've lacked a bit of craft in midfield recently. Hopefully he can be another solution to that dilemma.

Shit sorry, I deleted that because I wasn't quite happy with it, but there are definitely similarities. Somewhere in between him and Silva maybe, but with something a bit different too. The positions he takes up in the final third are quality - it's not surprising he scores a lot.

we don't need him

but he was the best striker in the Premier League last year

who wouldn't want him

People who don't need him wouldn't want him. You don't get him for free you know, so paying £20million transfer free and then £10million per year on wages doesn't make too much sense.

If Kagawa and Rooney are our first choice pair then it's a ridiculous waste of money.

yeah but wanting someone obviously depends on transfer fee etc

City don't need him but they want him - for them the money isn't an issue

I think that's where he'll end up

I don't think we'll bid much more than the 12 million we've initially offered

City will do their usual 20-25 million and 250k a week i imagine

like I said though - he'd walk into any side in the league on last years form

Kagawa has had a very promising pre season. Still getting used to the other players games but when that comes together he should be a good player for us. The potential for link up with our smarter players like Rooney and Welbeck is huge.

Yeah I agree with you he will end up a City. But they need him more than we do as Aguero, Balotelli and Tevez (and Silva obviously) can all drop into the 3 behind the lone striker, so they would all get games and then Van Persie can go up top as a replacement for Dzeko.

Not sure we would drop Rooney for him tbh. He would probably walk into the team but it would be at the expense of Kagawa, which seems stupid giving his ability. Think Kagawa in the hole would get the most out of Rooney too, should set him up with so many chances.

The possibilities. The possibilities. His link up play is superb, can't wait to see him alongside Rooney, Welbeck, Nani.

Yeah, his close control is so much like Silva's. I know it was some random team from China and that we'll face a lot stronger opposition throughout the season, but it's difficult not to get excited by today's game. It wasn't even just the level of performance from Kagawa; it was also the fact that watching him play just hammered it home just how much we've missed a player like that.

The play between him, Rooney, Welbeck and Nani is going to be mad. In particular, some of the stuff we'll see between Nani and Kagawa given Nani's tendency to cut in from of the right.....fecking hell.

Ha, I'm so fecking excited. I can't believe we got him for, what, £15m? That really is fecking value.

He looks absolutely at home considering this is only his second game at the club. But then i remember Veron started amazingly well too especially after the Everton game at Old Trafford and it was sort of a false hope after that. Good luck Shinji

If veron had a better attitude and work ethic he would have done better with us.

I dont see that being an issue with Kagawa

The beauty of having a year on the contract and not being English.

Then again, Dortmund still made a 5000% profit.

I'm extremely excited about the new season - and a lot of that is down to SHINJI!!
