The worst thing about religion is how we cannot have a thread like this without everything being obfuscated by talks of whether the cnuts were religious or not.
You're agreeing with me but wording it in a way that makes me think you haven't realised you're agreeing with me.Yeah, religion is at fault because everyone talks about it here even though there wasn't single evidence that religion has anything to do with this, so far.
I am far from religious person, but can some of you atheists actually live normal life without blaming religion for every fecking problem in the world?
at least we're never diagnosed as mentally unhingedI say we hold off until the authorities provide some details of his emails/internet searches/books...Unlike Nidal Hassan or the Frenchies, no reports yet of this guy following the template and screaming 'Allahu Akbar' etc etc before gunning down innocents.
It is perfectly reasonable and more than likely this is yet another incident of the widespread pattern of Islamic terrorism we've witnessed over the last x amount of years but until we have confirmation...
F-ing Terrorists...denying Muslim workers the right to act like unhinged wack jobs.![]()

I was making the point that every time a white guy shoots a bunch of people its blamed on mental health by the right wing politicians and press to try and divert attention from the gun control problem.
The world is definitely batshit.
I work for the IT department on a school district and I can tell you one thing (geography and history =/= normal american), most of them are ignorant on that aspect even teachers and they keep saying I'm Hispanic to make the things worse, if Trump wins the elections they will deport me to Mexico because they think Portugal must be somewhere in Mexico
Yeah, I read quickly through your post and didn't get it.![]()
most of the shootings are between gangs and nobody in US gives 2 flying ... and yesterdays had the foot print of terrorism.352 mass shootings (on average 4 or more killed) in America in 337 days this year. So I doubt it very much that a few more similar attacks will make any difference.
Will be hard for someone to convince his wife to go in a shooting rampage and get killed in the process, so if is not terrorism related everything would be the same.I think this type of terrorist attack will become more and more common in America. The vast array of weapons you can easily get hold of means that the they have made a rod for their own back.
I am sure that gun control will be tightened in America after a few similar attacks take place.
Could be wrong, but did I not read that they were husband and wife? Hardly as if he was trying to convince his mate to come along with him, being a couple is a completely different situation.
And is body armour not readily available in gun shops too? If it is then I'm sure there are a lot of gun nuts who own it which doesn't automatically make them terrorists.
you own body armour? What the feck is wrong with you? Unless you're in a SWAT team or on active duty then what possible, non-Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime reason is there to own body armour?
Because I can?
It weighs more than 20lbs and would be a bitch to wear. A pure shits and giggles purchase if there ever was one. Would consider wearing it to the gun range but not too many people are reckless enough to warrant it.
The tactical armor that most SWAT teams use is really heavy with ballistic plates, etc. Even has one that drops down to cover the jewels. I think it weghs around 35-40 pounds.
Seems a workplace dispute.
He went to the Xmas party, had an incident / argument, and came back with a gun to kill people.
Similar to that guy that shot that news woman on air.
Can't tell if you're taking the piss or not?
Let's see if I get this correct. Man gets pissed off...decides to head home to a virtual "IED factory" to retrieve pipe bombs, guns, ammo and body armor...sweet talks his wife into "gearing up" as well...somehow coerces her to drop off their 6 month old child at Grandma's...loads up the car with all the weapons...all in the name at getting back at Jimmy in the HR Department?
Did I miss anything? Seems like a perfectly normal thing to do after an incident/argument.
The FBI has taken over from local law enforcement and is locking down on info leaking out. The US doesn't like admitting terrorist attacks, preferring instead the label 'Workplace Violence' which is what the national media like CNN is now spouting. This is a blueprint that has been followed before. Fort Hood 2.0.Can't tell if you're taking the piss or not?

To be fair, you are missing the fact that perfectly normal people don't do this sort of thing.

Fixed - as good as my little brain could do. Sentence didn't feel right when I hit submit...but couldn't be arsed to spend more time on it.
All I know is what someone who is in LA and has close relatives in the LAPD told me and that is the FBI was there sooner than usual and locked the sheriff's out as soon as they arrived.Do we know that the FBI took charge or were they invited by local law enforcement as the standard protocol goes? Nothing in this event that would hand the feds jurisdiction that we know of thus far, unless some of the weapons were purchased out of state, perhaps. Otherwise we have to assume their presence was requested.

The problem isn't with police forces having specialized weaponry and gear to use during legitimate situations like this. No one wants another Munich.
It's when the big gear is dragged out for situations that don't warrant such a heavy response that people complain. Such as protests, or normal criminal apprehension, where things can be de-escalated. Busting down doors to get weed dealers is a gross misappropriation. With criminals with heavy weaponry who are using it actively, be my guest, go Rambo on them.
Also, the fact that he had returned from Saudi Arabia with a wife who was his accomplice. He may have been on the no-fly list afterwards but as I said the FBI is smothering info from leaking out.
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

Eh? My post is in agreement with yours.Maybe you need to stop looking for conspiracies....see the above post.

Interesting. Could be that the local police called them in right away but owing to California's rather strict gun control laws I'm leaning towards guns being purchased out of state which would probably grant the feds jurisdiction. @Sir Matt ...any clarification would be appreciated.
I'm watching CNN right now and they have 6/7 guests and a presenter who are pretty unanimously saying the shooter and his wife had terrorist links.
12 pipe bombs & thousands of rounds of ammunition found at his home
Ammo is ammo, something most people with guns have a lot of. I don't think I want to tell you guys how much I have.![]()
