Isn't Kemar Roofe fit again, sure he was on the bench the other week. Guess Biesla is easing him back in so he's fully fit for the play offs.
Shite Leeds performance but thank feck it wasn’t a 4-0 thrashing![]()
Easily could have been though, lucky Brentford didn't have their shooting boots on and were missing Benrahma.
Anyway you brought it upon yourselves - you can blame your idiot DoF and owner for that loss, their pathetic behaviour at the reverse fixture gave Brentford all the motivation they needed.
Dean Hernderson was unlucky to miss outThe PFA Championship Team of the Year 2019 in full is as follows:
Darren Randolph (Middlesbrough),
Max Aarons (Norwich), Liam Cooper (Leeds), Pontus Jansson (Leeds), Jamal Lewis (Norwich),
Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Oliver Norwood (Sheffield United), Pablo Hernandez (Leeds),
Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Tammy Abraham (Aston Villa), Teemu Pukki (Norwich).
Bolton players are saying they won't play tomorrow because they haven't been paid again. Don't think that's ever happened before.
A takeover bid has been accepted but it hasn't gone through yet and the fella wanting to buy them wasn't exactly a great owner when he was at Watford. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurence_Bassini
What a mess.
Fair play for shrugging off the disappointment so easily. I know from experience that it can be tough.
Behave yourself![]()
It will be interesting to see who fills that final playoff place. Hopefully it is not Middlesbrough, as predictably for a Tony Pulis team they play incredibly boring and ugly football, and have scored just 21 goals in 22 home matches (made worse by the fact that they among the largest financial resources in the division). I would prefer it to be Bristol City, as that would be something new and different as they haven't been in the top flight since 1980. Derby's pathetic whining after 'spygate' put me off them (that should have been a complete non-issue but English football and journalists like Henry Winter love a bit of moral outrage).
Barring an absolute miracle and assuming Leeds have to settle for playoffs now, I would prefer them to get promoted over West Brom or Villa, although their confidence is probably severely damaged. As a neutral I would find it quite boring if West Brom make an instant return to the Premier League, and Villa were last in the Premier League in 2016 (with their relegation coming after 4 consecutive seasons finishing 15th or 16th) compared to 2004 for Leeds.
Hopefully we can take at least 1 point from our last 2 matched to reach / break the 60 point barrier. Beating a poor Bolton team on Monday was not a surprise, but winning 4 consecutive games certainly was.
A huge win for Derby away to Bristol City in the battle for 6th place, effectively knocking them out of contention.
They are level on points with Middlesbrough, but have a game in hand and a better goal difference. I don't particularly like them, but better them than the boring Middlesbrough under the dodgy dinosaur Pulis
Just turned over from the Barca game to watch the end of this game. Well deserved. Liverpool will be chuffed.Norwich just secured promotion.
Kinda, he came from Dortmund b team essentially, but post Klopp,Is Farke yet another Klopp lackey by any chance?
Norwich got some interesting attacking players who could well shine but they really need to sort their defence out.
Conceded nearly 60 goals at championship level. We've seen with Fulham just trying to outscore prem teams dosen't really work.
This right here,They have a very young defence, love the look of Ben Godfrey. He’s got a big chance of making it
Full backs are both young and attacking too
But yeah they may need to add some defensive experience
Managed to get to some Norwich games of late and chuffed they’ve gone up. They play the best football in the division and have built that squad on a comparatively small budget. If you think about the players they’ve let go in recent years: Murphy twins, Maddison, Snodgrass, Pritchard, Brady, Redmond etc. and their modest outgoings you can’t be anything but full of praise for Farke and the club on how they’ve achieved this.
