Just had a glance at the cast list and was starting to think it looked good, especially with Omar from The Wire amongst it, but then I saw Owen Wilson.

Shame.

What's wrong with Owen Wilson? He's made a lot of shit movies but he's a decent actor in the right roles.

I can't wait to see it. Anderson's described the film as “his most comedic and anarchic film since Boogie Nights"

I cant recall ever having seen him in anything and thinking he was good.
I liked him in all of Wes Anderson's films, especially Bottle Rocket, plus Behind Enemy Lines and Midnight in Paris (although it's a pretty mediocre movie). Also think he's fine in movies like Zoolander and Wedding Crashers, for what they are.

Wait, you actually liked Behind Enemy Lines?

:lol::lol::lol:

No. But I think Wilson was okay in it.

My favorite part of the film is when Owen Wilson puts on a Serbian uniform and a black ski mask and casually walks past Serbian forces, then takes off his mask, looks back in slow-motion and starts running.

Or when he's hiding behind a tree, sees his buddy being killed by the Serbs, and screams loudly enough to reveal his position.

Or when the entire Serbian army is firing at him from less than 100 yards.

None of that has much to do with Wilson's acting. It's not a great movie and I didn't say it was.

I read the book recently, it's very funny. The casting is spot on, Bigfoot Bjornsen and Sanch had Brolin and Del Toro written all over it. Del Toro's character is basically the same one from Fear and Loathing.

Any good sci-fi coming any time soon? Seems like ages since anything good in the genre.
