You readily believe there's every chance Martial would be eager to get to Tottenham, yet refuse to believe there's anything in the Dier wanting to come to United stories. It's classic you.
Man he's always at it, everyone is happy there and everybody wants to go to Spurs. I'm sure he'll get a random net spend fact to justify the draw today.

Yet more lies. It's tiresome to see the extent to which continual lying - fabricating falsehoods - seriously degrades the quality of any discussion, not just for me but for other posters too. And as usual, the lies are coupled with personal attacks, which further moves discussion away from actually talking about football.

I have expressly said, several times, that I'm not ITK and I have never presented any information as mine. Nor have I ever said that United will sell Martial - or would sell him for £70m (or any other price for that matter). Nor am I member of SpursCommunity and nor have I based any comments I've made about Martial on whatever some poster on that forum has said.

In short, your comments are a total fabrication and do nothing but a disservice to this forum. You ought to apologise, but I won't hold my breath waiting ...

@KM, please apologize now

Their team are in a difficult position now. A solid starting X1 which was doing well, now Wembley is this mad jinx, and they're bringing a few players in who may well break up the tightness of the starting group.

I have them outside top 4 this year. Ahead of Arsenal though!

I refuse to believe that Spurs woes are Wembley are as a direct result of the dimensions of the pitch. 15 of the 19 other teams in the league all have the exact same pitch dimensions as Wembley. For Spurs, and their fans, to use that as a cop out is juts too easy.

It stems far beyond the pitch at this stage. It's like anything; it happens once, nobody bats a lid. Twice, people begin to quietly take notice and await the third game. At this stage, it's got to be a mental scenario with them. Further to that, I'd also add the Wembley factor in general. For example, how many of that Burnley side would have played/ are likely to play, in Wembley before/again? For a lot of those guys, it's possibly a once in a lifetime outing. You take that and ass the much publicised 'Wembley hoodoo' factor, and it makes for an easy team talk for any manager. That's just my two cents but I reckon it's more than plausible.

I'd also weigh in that the mental situation extends far beyond Wembley. Take Kane and the now regularly public education draught in all months of August. That's going to play havoc on a players confidence - even a man the stature of Kane.

Where's everyone's favourite Spurs fan? Thought he'd be here by now trying to put a positive spin on today's draw...

I have not said that Martial would be eager to come to Spurs. Inventing things I have not said is classic you.

That's two games running now we've conceded a goal at the death, leading to dropped points. It's a bad habit that I can only hope we're getting out of our system early.

Again they were lacking that intensity of last year, that dynamism that made them so enjoyable to watch. For me they are missing Dele Alli, yes I'm aware of his 2 goals to date, but beyond that his overal game is lacking somewhat, he's not playing with the same creative drive and determination that has become a staple of his game. He looks to me like he's lacking in motivation which is a genuine concern, can't help but wonder why.

What would worry me as a Spurs fan is the way in which the team dropped back midway through the second half, intent on defending a highly precarious 1 goal lead which is always a risky proposition. They also looked nervous towards the end, uncharacteristically so, and you could see the goal coming a mile off. Poor goal to concede all things considered.

Reminded me of United last year, 6th place is looking an entirely realistic possibility at this point.

6th at best, at this rate Spurs are relying on their away form and in the big games that wasn't great last season (zero wins)

Spurs aren't finishing behind this Arsenal side.
I see them having a fantastic away record like we had last year (before we fecked about due to EL)
Just getting away from the pressures that Wembley brings

Have already dropped more home points then they did in the whole of last season.

Alli has been fine and has continued his fine run of scoring for us. It's Eriksen that has started this season in poor form and it's impacting the team dramatically. He had half a good game against Chelsea but apart from that he has been way below his usual fine standard.

This is what happens when you stand still. Everyone else keeps moving forward and you get left behind.

I get the impression Levy would rather turn a profit and finish 2nd than win the league and have to spend some cash

The amount of conclusions drawn in this thread are laughable. Its been 3 games, there is no reason to think Spurs will end 6th or will even regress, soon they will come over that Wembley hurdle and players will find their form again.

Conte made a good point, that Wembley isn't a Spurs' players' issue but that it will inspire the away teams, particularly those with players who are unlikely to otherwise get to play at Wembley. Makes a lot of sense; time will tell.

True. Little early to draw any conclusions but they have already dropped more points at home than the entirety of last season. Can't really better that now.

Yeah we'll see if that's true during the course of the season, some look really quick to write them off.

Nice to see them sitting on 4 points after 3 games. Hope it continues, I think we won't be competing with them this season as I see us more in the title race and them in a fight for top 4 but it will give us some cushion if we can pull away from them and Arsenal early on.

They won get top 4 this season and that's just not a knee jerk response after a bad start. They're severely handicapped playing at Wembley they have no home games, infact it probably gives a huge boost to the apposition playing at such a respected stadium.

It's gonna be tough for Spurs this year.

Early days but I doubt they'll challenge.

City and United's to lose. Liverpool with a chance if they can sort out that defends.

He really hasn't, not in my opinion anyway. Sure he's scored a couple of goals, but you cannot deny that his overal game in comparison to the last 2 seasons is way off the mark in terms of productivity. That "creative spark" seems to be missing, the whole dynamic which sets him apart from your run-of-the-mill premier league forward. I'm not alone in this as various pundits, whoms opinion you may or may not value, have stated similar views. Something is amiss with Dele Alli, can't quite put my finger on what that could be, but clearly it needs addressing as Spurs, in my opinion, are an impotent outfit when Alli isn't at the races.

He was relatively quiet yesterday but by and large, Eriksen has been you're most outstanding play to date.

I didn't think Wembley would affect Spurs in any way, apparently I was wrong on that front. Clearly there is an issue, the players look nervous, less confident than we've come to expect. I'm sure it's nothing more than teething problems and over the course of the season that confidence will return. Poch will see to that.

Didn't watch the full match, just highlights. Spurs defense was opened up so easily by Burnely.

Kane not scoring isn't much of a problem as he always starts the season slowly and then scores plenty but overall they lacked the killer touch that they had in abundance last season.

See they've sold Wimmer now, not sure how Spurs fans feel about this, but he was useful cover wasn't he? At least if you want a squad that's capable of competing in Europe and domestically.

They've signed Sanchez and some Argentinean CB though, so they're better stocked in that area than they were last season, even without Wimmer.

Got to hand it to Levy, getting 18M for a limited player such as Kevin Wimmer. He has basically never done anything of note, yet they get 18M. Perhaps the going rate for any player these days, which is quite sad!

I think It's just going rate

Why give the poll a closing date if I can't change my vote? I no longer expect them to get too 4 and want that reflected, as I'm sure a few others do too.

Because people vote when they are guaranteed 4th spot like last season

Poll closes on Sep 6, people basically have till end of the window to make their mind up which is fair.

Right call. People say don't judge after 3 games but we are basing it off summer activity and the other teams activity/performance thus far.

United
City
Chelsea
Liverpool

All look stronger than spurs right now.

It would be a pretty stupid poll if people can vote no after every defeat and yes after a win lol. Grow a set and nail ur balls to the fence.
