Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United

It needs Nani for Welbeck and kagawa back in the hole i feel. Nani might be a risk defensively down that side (although i personally don't feel that way) but he'll give so much more down that wing.

Welbeck and kagawa are not involved yet, all the play is going through valencia but he's so one dimensional and predictable.

Such brainless defending of that free-kick. Surely the players do some kind of research on set-pieces, when has Walker ever curled one over the wall? Prick always just belts them and hopes.

He scored against Newcastle or something a long time ago when he smashed it into the top corners. But that was from a lot further out

What f*cking match are you watching. We are easily the better team.

How do you figure that then? You've had 2 chances all half, both of them from silly individual mistakes.

Good half so far, we really should have taken our chances.

I don't know what it is with Evra and Lennon but the latter shits on the former pretty much every time.

Bit worried because as a team, you're excellent at taking your chances at vital moments of the game but at least we've been attacking well and not looking too shaky at the back.

I don't want him to go off but think Moyes will do it. He'll want 'hard workers' throughout

He likes hard workers yes, but surely he can see that he would lose the tactics game if he does that? Get Nani on for Welbeck, stretch the Spurs back line, Kagawa is more free in the central role to create, chances galore.

Valencia poor? What match are you guys watching? He's skinning Vertonghen time after time. Crossing has been sub-par though.
It's virtually no use to us though if he gives the ball back to Spurs straight after leaving Vertonhen on his arse.

Spurs basically just playing on the counter attack. They've created the better opportunities so far, but hopefully the control we had at the end of the first half continues and we can create a few more chances.

Cleverly is such a passenger nowadays. There was one moment near the end of the half that summed up his game. He received the ball with acres of space ahead of him in midfield and instead of taking the ball forward he just stands there, doing nothing, until Rooney (who played the ball to him in the first place) moves over from the wing to the center and receives the ball from a 3 yard pass. He needs to sort himself out big time, at the moment he's barely good enough to be a squad player. And in a squad with as few and poor midfield options as our, that's extremely damning.

He's a winger who can't cross a ball. Or use his left foot.

He can beat his man all he likes, if he cant do anything with the ball after that, whats the point?

Well that not true. As long as he continues to work their defenders he is doing well. He has been our most dangerous player

Edit. He has won us plenty of corners too

Welbeck isn't the problem. It's Cleverley. He had so much opportunity to pick out Rooney or Kagawa and he's passed it out wide. He's hiding again.

As much as I want to blame Cleverley I can't. Welbeck's been poor, no denying it. If he's not producing much in attack OK but he's done no defending either.

Yep. Had 30 yards in front of him to run the ball into but stopped still and passed it easy. i.e. passing the responsibility on.

Nope.

Welbeck's been poor, Kagawa invisible (as usual) and Valencia's crossing terrible.

How many times has he played a positive pass into the feet of Kagawa or Rooney in an attacking area?

Our play all through Valencia for a reason.
He is there to keep the play ticking, which he is doing. He doesn't has that kinda long range of passing, plus Spurs have crowded the central area, which is why Kagawa has seen less of the ball and we have been passing it to our only winger today in Valencia.
