United linked with van Gaal in the meeja

SSN have a reporter standing outside OT where they know nothing is happening.

You just know there's going to be either a cafe meltdown or proper orgasms when Holland play in the World Cup now. Prepare for massive overreactions

I don't see why a few days changes anything.

Did the KNVB set the deadline for today before LVG goes back to work in preparation of the World Cup? All most people wanted was to see him confirmed once and for all, get a few pictures of him at Carrington and/or Old Trafford, and then let him move on into summer with full focus on Holland.

This season we've learned that if the likes of Ogden, Ladyman, Ducker are reporting the same thing then it's most likely to be true. All of them have said that he's our next manager and I think a deal has been done a long time ago. We're waiting for season to finish to announce it, I'm also sure that Woody and LVG would've already discussed plans about next season,

A few days doesn't, if it makes sense, but we're waiting on nobody but ourselves. The season ending is irrelevant. Nothing happens at the end of the season to make it an easier announcement. We have a vacancy now. I don't think we can 100% disassociate this with media reports a couple of weeks ago in respect of our 'wait and see' approach to Ancelotti. People were talking then as van Gaal was almost certain but there was an 'unless Ancelotti...' caveat attached to it.

Had we wanted to we could probably have made the announcement long before now if all was agreed.

"It's obvious we're waiting for the final home game/end of the season/Dutch to announce their squad/complete their friendlies/have their pre-departure world cup press conference/play in the world cup, before announcing it."

None make more or less sense than the other.

Really hope this gets done quickly. I constantly have this fear of us going for another Moyes.

It's surely close to being done. I think LVG is leaving it to the club to announce it.

However, the Holland manager has been speaking to Voetbal International and seemed annoyed that it was being reported that way, insisting there is no deal and he's considering other clubs too. Voetbal International said he was particularly annoyed with the English media, but then they would say that.

"There is no deal. There are newspapers saying that I've already signed, there are even names of assistants... Too bad it goes this way. "

"There are several clubs interested in Louis van Gaal, we'll see who I choose and what choice the clubs are going to make. It's a process, so it goes with all clubs."

I'm looking forward to this being confirmed now. Can't wait for the new season.
This.
I can't wait to see what our starting line up will look like next season. I hope to lucifer that we see just as many players (shite/retire) leave and players join.
We need a revamp big time.

He always talks in 3rd person. I think we got our own Zlatan.

Getting horrible flashbacks of the ol' Scolari to England debacle.

If it's a done deal we are only waiting to announce it. I'm sure plans for next season are underway. You're just being a typical anxious fan. What difference does it make to you personally? I've seen people type "just announce it so we can move on"... Move on and do what? Do you think the club are standing still until they announce it? Any work involving transfers or preparations for next season will be underway already. Just be patient.

Don't hate on Van Gaal.

By what Van Gaal is saying, I think the club are delaying signing him as they see other candidates.

If that's the case, I'll will say it bluntly regarding United's attitude in this: F*CK other candidates. If Klopp is not available in the first place, Van Gaal is the only other acceptable choice of a manager with a proven record of rebuilding teams towards success.

Sky interview is hilarious! His press conferences are going to be epic! "Stupid question"

Is the delay because of Giggs not accepting the coaching role yet?

He's going to be brilliant. The attitude of Mourinho (more the arrogance, less of the cuntiness) but with a much better brand of football.

Haha I was just about to comment on that. Never heard so many sorrys in an interview before!

He is going to have get used to these pillocks.

He is used to handle them. The German and spanish press are idiots, too.

His training sessions are fascinating. I am pretty sure if there is open training sessions you will have reports about them in the sports chapter, too. Munich has open training sessions and at the beginning of his trainings there they were really crowded. Hopefully your players are open to new stuff... The ones that are will be the ones that start.

The thing is that there is as much players that really love him as there is ones that do not...
