We both had more gears to go up to, and had either side set up with 2 up front or had their injured players available we might have seen them.

Both managers were too cautious.

Fergie didn't even get off his arse until the 65th minute. Emery was jumping up and down gesticulating and even dancing almost for the entire match. Around minute 65 Fergie went into the technical area, stood there without moving for about 5 minutes, and then started shouting at Phelan, by minute 80 he was gone, probably back in his seat chewing gum.

Another interesting point, I don't know if this has become the norm or not, but during half time, not a single one of the United players on the bench did any training whatsoever. The whole of the Valencia bench was kicking the ball about in the half of the pitch they started the game in.

Watching him last night, I thought he thought he was playing a Playstation game or something, he was literally pointing to the player he wanted the player in possession to pass to a lot of the time.

Must piss the players off a bit that, I would have thought.
